As a avid lover of the Blues, I visit the SHH everytime they have a Blues act..which is more often than anywhere else in these woods of NE Jersey! The place is great. Autographed pictures of music legends cover the walls. The staff is very...More
I have been going to the Stanhope house every few months for the past few years and have never been disappointed. The food is always good, and the drinks are served by some of the finest bartenders around. They feature multiple rooms as well as...More
I should note that this is a review of the venue for music and I did not eat food, so I cannot attest to the quality of it. This was my second trip back to the Stanhope House and I absolutely love it! I wish...More
We love the band Street Hassle so whenever they play at The Stanhope House we try to get there, which was the case January 21. I love the historical element of the place and the staff is nice, and drinks are good. What's not to...More

A friend's band American Road, plays there often and I would follow them anywhere! Although it's a hike from where I live the place is fun to go for an evening of music and friends... They have Jazz night, Country Night and much more!!
The food is average bar food, good but it's not going to knock you socks off. You go there for historic atmosphere and good music. Check out it's website for upcoming acts. my favorite band is Street Hassle.
Not what it used to be. There used to be up and coming acts that would really interest me. Now it is mundane and the sound is usually much to be desired. The food is pretty much fast or fried. Salads are OK. Just a...More
I love stopping by Stanhope House on a Tuesday night for blues night. The open mic is great; however, it seems like the establishment plays favorites on who gets to play first. I am not a musician, but I have seen people come in, sign...More
