We had a fantastic lunch under the shaded patio. We opted for the deli lunch combining a cheese and charcuterie platters. You also get lovely fresh breads and crackers. Add a bottle of bubbly and we had a feast. Not too many options to choose from but the quality and taste makes up for that! Great tranquil atmosphere and the... More

Now in the Moreson stable the kitchen is still under the stewardship of Neil Jewel master charcuterie the food is always pleasing. Just beware the food is served on wooden boards and the lashing of oil dripped through the knots and through the open tables onto our clothes. The Moreson wines are if excellent quality and the service is always... More

Lovely shaded patio. They do a full set lunch (booking essential) or you can have a light lunch from the deli. We had the latter, a lovely plate of cheese and one of charcuterie. Lovely fresh bread and crackers too. We also had the flight of 3 wines each, one set of red and one of white. Recommended!

After a 3 year break we are back in Franschhoek and the first restaurant we visited was Bead and Wine, it is a little more sophisticated, acting as a wedding venue and so the entrance to the restaurant is a little different but having said that everything is as good as ever. Firstly a wonderful setting on a shaded terrace... More

Hard to book but well worth it, the only disappointment for me was that none of the happy local deer were in season to eat. Really good food and service, such a little gem. Oh yes, this place is awesome for allergies, if you book tell them in advance and they will accommodate you.

Due to the quality of the restaurants in the South African Winelands, it is difficult for one to stand out. Bread and Wine at Moreson has managed to achieve this. The tranquility of the space is only enhanced by the outstanding wines and efficient and friendly service. This is a must-visit destination in the Franschoek area.

This year we decided to try out something entirely different in terms of dining at a winery. Bread & Wine did not disappoint - the setting is beautiful and serene and the food was sublime. The choices were really good and it was difficult to choose any one particular dish. Meals are very well presented and portions are more than... More

Bread & Wine has been around for many a year, but had changed hands since our last visit, so it was good to see that standards were still high. For me the best part of eating here is the bread and home cured charcuterie. The cured meat starter is fantastic - you could be in Italy or France - and... More

We have been here several times in the past few years and were always delighted with the food. However, the menu has now changed and you are obliged to pay 360 rand for two courses which is outrageously expensive by S African standards. The prawn cocktail only contained three small pieces of prawn and my husband did complain about this.... More
