We were travelling over the Franschoek pass and decided to stop for lunch. We had no booking but they fitted us in. The view was absolutely spectacular from the table we had. The food was excellent and well presented and well cooked and the wine was lovely. The service was good and efficient. The decor is lovely. Definitely a place... More

It is hard to believe a piece of mass-catering could be so good. But the 'industry' that La Petite Ferme has become still managing to keep the personal touch while delivering lovely food in a splendid setting. Book ahead and ask for a table outside under trees for the most authentic setting, though inside tables still can offer the magnificent... More

Restaurant is divided into several eating areas plus a lot of outside tables. Decor is pleasant. Food was very good but service was rather slow. Parking is a problem. Suggest booking, particularly on weekends.

One of our favourite restaurants in the world! There have been some worthwhile upgrades to decorations, tables, chairs and toilets since we were there 12 months ago. The food is still top class. My wife had the Aubergine vegetarian dish and loved it. I had the fillet steak and it was the best I had on our 2 week trip... More

This restaurant is worthwhile just for the view. Lovely grounds. The staff is very friendly and courteous. We were somewhat underwhelmed however with the food. The duck leg was tender, but sauce with it was not very tasty and had too much thickening in it. The Plat du Jour was yellowtail which didn't taste very fresh and too fishy. Anyway,... More

We had lunch here with a friend in mid-March. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Plenty of choice, good quality and good service. Best to book.

We hadn't a booking but they were most helpful and suggested we wait while they got a table ready .We ordered drinks and found that they also had a tapas menu. Although this was a different part of the restaurant they were happy for us to change our minds and order tapas. The food was amazing and the setting one... More

Came here by chance wanting a light lunch. We were a group of 6 and decided to just have starters. The staff were friendly, professional and very good. We were looked after extremely well. The setting is beautiful and the restaurant is beautifully designed. Everything smacked of quality, the setting the restaurant, the staff and the food. Every bite tasted... More

Our room - organised by African Travel Resource - was fantastic for a birthday evening. Beautiful view at sunset over the hills. Dinner was good, but quite heavy and our main disappointment was not being given the table by the window my daughter had requested at reservation, at arrival at the hotel and checking earlier in the evening. As it... More

Booked dinner for 7.30 pm. Arrived at 7ish & allowed to enjoy a sundowner on the lawn watching the mountain burn, while the sun went down! Special effects were amazing. Food was really lovely, service was excellent. Go here but ensure to book.
