We were staying at La Petite Dauphine, which is where this restaurant is located so we were able to try it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and were more than satisfied for each. Outside dining for breakfast and lunch was lovely and the Studio for dinner was also very pleasant. Great food and service all round.

It was my second visit but a first for the rest of our party of seven. crossed all fingers and toes, hoping that they will find it as amazing as I did on my first visit - they were blown away! We enjoyed a fabulous lunch on the terrace under umbrellas (it was a scorcher!) The food was palatable, well-presented... More

Café BonBon has all the trappings of a classy restaurant with the atmosphere of a good friend's home. The versatile piano man makes it too festive to be precious, and cockerel-host Hendrik II (not Heinrich) makes it too pastoral. The end result is a top-class feel-good restaurant serving food that can best be described as sophisticated five-star farm fare.

We visited the place for breakfast on a weekday morning, and its setting is really beautiful and serene amidst the greenery and the sound of the water fountain. The breakfast is delicious, although they could be slightly more generous with the toast.

From making the booking till the bill comes I was impressed with the level of service we got. The food was also good, though I have to admit the steak I received was a tad too rare for my liking. R250.00 and a decent vet could still save the cow... Starters were great.

We were out for the day looking at wedding venues and needed a quick bite to get us right again, even though we arrived late we accomodated and had the most wonderful food. Service was good, lovely surrounds. Thank you.

This is a MUST for your 'things to do' when in Franschhoek list. We had dinner last night at Cafe Bon Bon and it was the most wonderful evening. The place is full of character from the amazing pianist to the giant cockerel Heinrich II 😀 The food was high quality, beautifully prepared and accompanied by excellent wines. Surroundings are... One of my favorite dinner restaurants to spend some quality time with my daughter, a Franschhoek resident. Location, ambience, food and price all good. Service, not yet smooth and efficient enough to match the overall quality of the establishment but the season has only just started and they have employed some new staff.

A mixed experience for us. We have been here in previous years and everything has been excellent, this time we were not so pleased despite having looked forward to returning. The restaurant is beautiful, the ambience is perfect due mainly to the fabulous pianist who it seems can play just about anything. This time the food was excellent but the... More
