The restaurant is a local institution, renowned worldwide for the best Calamari in Cape Town, with a popular sun-drenched terrace overlooking the bay and mountains. Calamari at the Chapmans Peak was voted as "one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town".It’s the ideal location for those lingering sunsets and balmy evenings. A sun-drenched verandah boasting spectacular views of the bay offers an alternative eating venue for those wishing to dine Al fresco. And in those winter months, it’s one of few places in the Cape with fireplaces (dating back 100yrs)

Great food, splendid view, exceptional service and last but not least lovely rooms! Parking is limited but not really an issue.

We came for our calamari fix and everything was spot on. Not entirely sure about the covid precautions as these get a touch relaxed but otherwise it was the same old perfect spot.

I had prawns but actually should have had the speciality calamari which was delicious. Someone had the steak and calamari combo and raved about it. Dessert was good, ice cream and nice chocolate sauce the others had caramelized lemon pie which went down very well....More

Visited several time in Feb/March. Excellent food, service and view. Have been going there for many years and will continue to do so. The Calamari/Prawns are the best in the Cape.

We always meet up here with family for lunch on the terrace enjoying the lovely views before driving along Chapmans Peak Drive. All their food is special and the staff most helpful.

I would say not before 10:30 pm the earliest especially since the sun only sets around 8:30pm in Cape Town at the moment.

Hi, it's probably online but to my mind it is medium price range with seafood, steak and Portuguese specialities. Hope you enjoy.
