Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We ordered the Luna Rossa pizza, asking them to leave the capers and artichokes off because we ordered this one other time and the pizza came with an overwhelming vinegar taste because those items are from a jar (pickled). This time the pizza has a...better flavor, but still there was a hint of vinegar in the taste. We decided the green and red peppers must also be from a jar. I have been to Italy various times and I know prosciutto when I taste it, it has a salty taste, I think the meat on this pizza was ham, not prosciutto. Otherwise, this was a good pizza, not a great pizza. Service and ambience was fineMore

Every year we drive from Virginia to Scottsdale to spend the holidays with family. We specifically go out of our way to stop in Las Cruces to have pizza a Luna Rossa. It is our favorite pizza place in the whole country and we actually...have sampled pizza in all 50 states. I can state from personal experience that we start talking about the stop (both ways) at Luna Rossa weeks in advance of the trip. Not only is the pizza great, but the wine is really good, too.More

Great service. I am personally not so fond of mushrooms, but I found this pizza yummy. I bought two bottles of wine to go. I'll be back to try the gelato.

Nice family oriented restaurant with great pizza. Plenty of wine and a few beers too. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and we were impressed. I had the spicy sausage pizza with added mushrooms and my husband had the New Mexican which had green chile and prosciutto on a gluten free crust. They also offer gluten free pasta. We...tried a few wines and bought a few bottles to take home. The service was friendly and proficient. We would definitely come back to this restaurant/winery.More

We hadn’t been to to Luna Rossa in years. I thought it would be nice to have a bottle of wine and some pizza with family. While the server was pleasant, she would disappear for long periods. Long story short, it took over and hour...to actually get a bottle of wine (I eventually had to go to the bar to order it) and the food was delivered before we were given wine. The pizza was average with all three different pizzas tasting almost identical. Two of the pasta orders were good, but the pasta with muscles was bland and watery. They did give us a 10% discount on the entire bill, so we were grateful for that. The facility is nice, but we really expected much more.More

They were overwhelmed with graduation groups the day we had lunch there. Despite it all, we had pretty decent service. Strange at a winery, you have to ask for the wine and beer list! The wine is alright, my companion enjoyed a novel pecan beer....The pizza would have been very, very good had it had another minute or two in the oven. The crust was very undercooked and white. I think it would be worth it go when they aren't rushed and trying to do too much.More

Wonderful place! Pizza was just like I would want it to be - real Italian pizza and not that nonsense American greasy stuff with too much tomato sauce. Wine is superb and I could not believe how many different wines they have. My husband loved...his spaghetti and he is very particular about it. Our son loved gelato as well. Thank you. We will be back when in the area again.More

My wife and I visited here for a date night. We did not have the pizza, but it looked very good. Our pasta dishes were both good along with our wine/beer. We would definitely recommend sitting on the patio if you can. The inside seating...was very close together and busy. Our server was great, though. I would recommend this restraunt, but it did not have a wow factor on our visit to make it a definite place to eat at when we are in Las Cruces.More

Really good food and all back in the day. But to be seated and waiting 15+ Minutes and not even be help or get to order drinks, then another group gets seated after 15 minutes and help right away. Yeah poor customer service for sure...used to be great.More

We shared a pizza and a big salad. Except th3salad was not very big, barely enough for one, certainly not 2 people. The pizza was OK, but not especially good. The restaurant was recommended to us, but I would not especially recommend it .

After an 8hr drive, we checked into the Comfort Suites across the road and then to Luna Rossa for dinner. We've dined here several times before and always enjoyed our meals. Marissa was our server and did a grand job. We both had pizzas, Deb...had the Quattro Formaggi with Mushrooms and I had the Prosciutti I Funghi with Anchovies. Both excellent. We finished with Gelato. We like their wines and bought 4 bottles to take home. Another great meal at Luna Rossa.More
