First, the good. Upon arriving I was struck by the crowded parking lot and the delightfully authentic exterior in the heart of old Mesilla near Las Cruces, New Mexico. I thought I had found a gem. That sense continued as I entered the building passing the assorted shops along the way to the reception area. Very interesting and well-done. Of... More

What a great historical place to visit to have great food. My wife's ground beef tacos were outstanding. Huevos Rancheros were good too. Salsa is pretty spicy for most. The gentleman with the long pony tail gave some of the best service we've had anywhere. Thank you!

La Posta is one of the best restaurants in Las Cruces. It has an inviting entrance with a variety of wildlife such as an African grey, a toucan + piranhas. The steak fajitas are the best I've ever tasted + is the plate I would recommend. The service is great + it is a good environment for families.

This restaurant is definitely average. The food is nothing special. It is just ordinary Mexican food and a bit pricey at that. It is very Disney Land like in its interior setting and we never go to La Posta unless someone who has never been to New Mexico is visiting. We take them on the tourist tour at least once.... More

Visit La Posta in historic Mesilla, and take a step back in time, as you dine in an adobe building hundreds of years old. A stop on the old Butterfield Stagecoach Line, La Posta has been serving authenic Border Mexican food for a long time. It's our go-to restaurant, for any occassion. The drinks are amazing and they have a... More

This is what old-time New Mexican meals were all about. In addition, their selection of Tequilas is awesome. Very reasonable prices and decor is straight from Old Mexico. A favorite easy-to-get-to restaurant.

Very interesting environment in old Mesilla maintains old town charm in this beautiful building comprised of 15 separate rooms artfully joined into a beautiful space decorated with traditional and folk Mexican art. The food prices are very reasonable and the many types of margaritas is mind boggling. Sticking with the original is the best way to go. We both ordered... More

I have been eating here since I was a child, so I enjoy the unique decor of the different rooms, as well as the delicious authentic New Mexican cuisine. The staff is friendly, and they always recognize my parents who live in Las Cruces. It's a "must-go-to" place every time I visit my hometown.
