My husband and I decided to go out for a drink and a bite to eat. We were not that hungry so we shared the Elk burger, cooked medium. It was so good. I recommend you try it. We also went to the bar next door, called The Motherlode for a beer and glass of wine. Good music playing and... More

We were in Red River for week of thanksgiving and decided to go to Texas Red's and try their thanksgiving special. Large plate of food with Turkey, ham, cornbread dressing and gravy, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes and string bean. Meal started with salad then pumpkin soup followed by large plate of food. Everything was good except the pumpkin soup (blah).... More

We had a good dinner here. Around the table we had the NY strip, Tbone, and a couple of filet mignons (the filets were the best). Service was good - they were kinda busy but not overly so. They don't do reservations. We didn't have to wait, but were there fairly early.

Not a busy night, got seated and waited. Ordered drinks and waited. Ordered food and waited while our waitress told every table how busy she was. Prime rib was cool to the touch. Potato was so cool the butter wouldn't melt. By the time she checked on us, I asked for a box so I could heart the food back... More

Be sure to arrive early as this place fills up quickly. Wait staff was excellent. Food was great. Steak was one of the best ever. Would love to eat there again and will the next time we are in Red River.

Burger was good and the server Elyse was awesome but my chicken breast was like knawing on rubber. It was really over cooked, dry and very difficult to eat. I only ate half and could proceed no further. But the other story to this saga that completely steared me away from this place is this: Two weeks before this visit,... More

We visited in the off season; so there was no wait to get a table. Food and service were fine. There were not a lot of dining options available and we were happy to find this place open.

My husband and I walked in put our name on the list and went to the bar to wait. An hour later we were still mot seated, hubs went to chrvk with the hostes and they had given our table to someone else. She said we could be be put back on the list, but at the bottom. We were... More

Food was good but, certainly not worth the price. Cheapest ribeye steak was 10oz and priced at $30.00. If you decided not to eat here rest assured you are not missing out on anything special.

This is the only restaurant in Red River that one could dress up and not feel out of place. Good food and good service.
