Great lunch or breakfast spot. It is very popular so you may have a wait. Small cafe is you do not eat outside.

I dropped in recently to redeem a gift certificate that I had purchased at a fundraiser for our local Humane Animal Shelter. The certificate was well over a year old but was honored without question. I truly appreciate this small Mom & Pop cafe for their support of the animals. This time I had the pimiento cheese sandwich, tomato bisque... More

Even in January, what a GREAT patio and view outside...with table side service too! Loved the team --- spot on recommendations and FRESH ingredients and daily soup/sandwich/salad specials. And yes --- tasty deserts and cookies too -- we couldn't resist!

The Buttery is and has been one of my favorite places for lunch in Ruidoso. Service is always friendly, and the food varied and delicious. My favorites are the Tomato-Basil soup and the ham, cheddar and green chile quiche, but their sandwiches and salads are very good as well. The restaurant is small, only about 10 tables inside, but when... More

First time back to the Village Buttery in over 2 years, and Elliott greeted us with a smile, and we were welcomed with the smell of the poblano corn chowder, and their always delicious tomatoes bisque! We always love coming here anytime we are in or near Ruidoso, it's a must do for anyone in the area. Food atmosphere and... More

My friend and I were looking for something new in town and we discovered this place online. What a find! Quaint, great casual/fun vibe, and the menu is very unique. Everything we had tasted amazing! Try the pimento cheese sandwich, the raspberry cheesecake, and the pasta. Can't wait to eat here again!

It was lunchtime when we arrived in Ruidoso from Albuquerque, and thanks to fellow Tripadvisors, we stopped at the Village Buttery for lunch. Comfy, cozy, and the best soups in the world. It is not open for dinner, so don't miss it if you're in town for lunch.

Great lunch spot - nice outdoor patio (pet friendly) - good service and good soups and sandwiches. Call ahead and order a buttermilk chess pie - they freeze great too!

I'm a local. This is a lovely place for brunch/lunch; sandwiches, soups, salads, quiche, dessert. All of their food is very good, but where I spend most of my $$ with them is ordering their absolutely wonderful homemade pies for Thanksgiving & Christmas - to die for. They have a buttermilk pie that is much talked about around here, famous!!... More

I went with friends from out of town at 2pm on a Saturday. Apparently they close at 2:30. Theven wait staff was very short with our group. I'd hesitate before returning next time.

Thank George G
