Pena's Place is a small locally owned restaurant with the owners doing the cooking. The food is prepared fresh and is awesome. The pecan and blueberry pancakes are wonderful. I like the New Mexican dishes with Green Chile sauce- very tasty. Did I mention the chips and salsa- tangy and delightful. A must on our trips to Ruidoso.

We eat here every year when we visit. Wife had the blueberry pecan whole wheat pancakes with bacon. I had the breakfast burrito smothered in cheese and red sauce (huge!). Great coffee, excellent service and Jimmy the owner came out and talked awhile after the breakfast rush. Always excellent!

Pena's has WONDERFUL food! I've visited there for both breakfast and lunch, and both were amazing. The green chile breakfast burrito was top notch, and the quesadillas were full of great flavor. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Ruidoso!

One of our favorite restaurants in Ruidoso. I especially love the cheese enchiladas! I could eat them every day! We had the combination plate too and enjoyed it. The vegie omelet was quite good. We eat there several times each visit and will go back.

I always visit Pena's on a Saturday or Sunday......the only days they offer Eggs Benedict. So delicious! The sauce has just the right amount of lemony, buttery taste. My husband likes the breakfast burrito. Everything looks yummy. A must visit whenever we are in Ruidoso.

Great authentic Mexican food - great service - good music playing in the background. Quick but not fast food.

We had not been to Ruidoso in some years. So much has changed. On the advice from a local, we came to Pena's cafe for breakfast. A small and quaint restaurant. It is primarily a mexican food cafe. Expect a crowd, as tables are limited. M y wife and both ordered the Ranchero eggs. Hers were red ad mine green.... More

For sure stop by to try their pecan and blueberry pancakes and consider a cup of their pretty decent coffee. The chips and salsa are second to none while the main dishes are a good Tex-mex fusion but nothing extraordinary. Keep going if you are looking for cake, pie or any other dessert as they only offered cookies on the... More

We had breakfast there one morning before hitting the golf course. All four in our party agreed that we will come back to this place every year for breakfast. They specialize in Mexican but one can get eggs, pancakes, etc. Yummy!
