Good but not amazing food, fair service, and kind of pricey. It was nice, but I expected better. Might try it again.

We stayed next door and this was highly recommended. And, after spending an evening with them, I can understand why. Quaint historic setting, over the top service, and very unique menu...great evening!

Service was excellent, atmosphere was ok, but the food was lacking at best. I was not impressed. The meat in the tacos was tough and fell apart when eaten.

I can see why this restaurant is so highly regarded. However, I love bright colour and lots of spice, so found The Love Apple a little bland. The decor is tasteful in a very muted, neutral way. The staff are attentive, and the food is cooked with skill and care. However, 10 days later, I can't remember what I ate.

Of the 20 odd restaurants that I dined in while on a recent trip to New Mexico The Love Apple was unquestionably the best. The ambience was simple but sophisticated and the menu interesting, eclectic, farm to table and sourced locally. The food was really good, really, really good. There were six of us, all foodies, and everyone was very... More

Food, service, atmosphere all outstanding. Surpassed our expectations, which were high to begin with.

I appreciate all of the reviews on Trip Advisor that pointed us in the direction of The Love Apple. We had a wonderful dinner there....the flavors were exquisite! The service was great. I have some food sensitivities and they worked with me. The trout and the lamb Albondigas were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We were sent here by a hotel in Santa Fe and it was a very nice place. It's not a huge menu but the food was VERY good, although pretty spicy. The waitress did, however, warn us. The location is in an old house which adds to the Taos vibe of the place. It's a bit away from the plaza... More

The Love Apple provided an intimate and tasty dinner. The rainbow trout was very good as were the braised greens and the charcuterie plate. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation as the dining area is limited.

Many restaurants in Taos don't cater to alternative diets. This restaurant has a nice selection that can accommodate a gluten-free (Celiac) vegetarian. The food is nicely prepared, and our waiter was right on top of things, even though he had many tables he was handling. The meat-eaters among us were also very happy, BTW! Highly recommend.
