Terrific bar -- excellent drinks -- terrific food/sandwiches -- sit at the bar and just socialize with those around you and enjoy yourself. Rueben sandwich was huge and delicious as was open face roast beef. Killer margaritas, etc.

Chose The Gorge for our last dinner, since it was right on the Plaza and walking distance from our room. The atmosphere was nice, not too loud, though our waitress had to repeat herself on several occasions, since she decided whispering was an appropriate method...More

This is a nice place to eat, much bigger inside than you would think for, and there is a nice out door area upstairs, ànd the menu is varied. The staff were very attentive and the service was quick but relaxed. I would recommend this...More

Outdoor seating when weather permits. Great place to eat and overlook the Taos Plaza Thursday free concerts evenings during the summer.

This is a good place to go if you are looking for a predictable and reliable mainstream type meal. The burgers were decent and they had a nice selection of beers and beverages. Staff was very responsive and the setting was pleasant.

My parents were in town for Thanksgiving so we took them site seeing. After seeing the Gorge bridge and walking around Taos it was time for lunch and we chose the Gorge. It was great! The food was good, the service was good and we...More

The Gorge is perfectly located downtown with cool views of the square. The food is mostly 'bar fare" with burgers, appetizers, etc. They do have great specials during football season. It's worth stopping in for a beer or two if you find yourself in Taos.

I often like nachos for dinner. The waiter said they were great....and they were! But ginormous, humongous, cosmic portion. They came out piping hot on a metal baking tray about 18" x 12"-- that's a lot of nacho real estate!

This is not the type of restaurant we would choose looking in the windows, but we were in need of a quick lunch before an art tour, and it was "right there." We were pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent. Service was very good. It was...More

My son saw this place advertised at bang bite in Santa Fe so we dropped by while in Taos. Great service by Carla (from Argentina ) made the whole experience better. Chips and salsa as good as anywhere . Chicken enchiladas had that wonderful depth...More

The is a new restaurant which replaced Ogilivie's right on the Plaza in Taos. It is a casual restaurant, with a mune that reflect it's SM location, though is by no means "Mexican" completely. WE had a combinations of startes and salads, all of which are excellent; The Bison Sliders were supurb. The balcony overlooking the Plaza is a wonderful place to watch the activity in the Plaza - the only outdoor eating on the Plaza. They have a full bar, and excellent staff who are all very jazzed about being part of this new venture. It is a definite place for a simple but interesting meal.
