I'm a young adult but I wouldn't say this is a great place for anyone younger than a teenager. The food was really good and our server was fun to chat with for there weren't that many people in the place at the time we went, which was roughly 4 or 5 in the afternoon. (Too early to watch any... Of the many places we tried in Taos, Santa Fe and Los Alamos the Alley Cantina had the best Margaritas. Nice live music most evenings. easy walking from the Plaza and huge portions of food. We order 2 appetizers and could not come close to finishing them both.

400 years of spanish history in old town square is where you will find great food and the feeling of being in a historical place. The prices are very good for this area. This is more than a place to get something to eat. Walk around the square and see local handmade items for sale next to shops offering high... More

The Alley Cantina was recommended by a local Taos resident. We loved the atmosphere, the food, and, of course, the beer. The fish and chips were some of the best I've had. I was told the green chile cheeseburger was "great!" We will add this Cantina to our Taos visits.

Not my favorite place to eat but the foods not bad. Love to play shuffle board here and have a drink. This place has been there forever and really takes you back to the old west.

We found The Alley Cantina tucked away as we explored Taos. There was no crowd since we were early; we were among their first customers of the day. It could be a bit noisy as some reviewers have mentioned because it is smallish inside. That was not a problem for lunch. I had the quesadilla with chicken. It was very... More

This is our go-to-place after a morning of shopping the Plaza. Consistent good food and good margaritas. The coconut shrimp is so delicious and the shrimp are as big as drumsticks. The coconut chicken fingers are excellent and come with a huge basket of fries and I chose a garden salad that looked the vegetables had just come out of... More
