Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Managed to hunt this lovely little cafe out after reading about it in a guide book - it’s not immediately obvious as all of the surrounding properties are residential. What a great location, overlooking Walker Bay. We were sat outside on the balcony and chose...a salmon & trout tramezzina whilst my wife chose the chicken & herbs tramezzina both served with a lovely salad and accompanied by flat whites. The service was great and it was nice just to while away around an hour taking in the stunning views.More

Lovely location and a very good menu, fairly good service but don’t expect fast service. The food is lovely I have to say, but the staff have no sense of urgency at all, maybe it’s a lack of training or supervision, or maybe it’s their...pace, or dare I say it “lack of pace”. We enjoyed the food, the service levels left a lot to be desired, the staff are lethargic and urgency is “off limits” but the scenery and laid back environment make it almost bearable.More

We discovered this gem of a place many years ago. I have shared it with family and friends and we always have a wonderful time. Unpretentious, tasty food, friendly service and local wine. The lumberjack cake is a favourite.

but the inside is inviting to linger. Perfect spot for whale watching. Great service and lovely food, some of the best mussel pot I had. Everything looks and smells like home cooking.

We only spent one night in the area, but we visited Coffee on the Rocks twice. When the weather is perfect: the sea a scintillating blue and smooth as glass, and a light breeze across your face - the patio is heaven on earth. Just...pray the weather will favour you. Our meals didn’t disappoint. As a diabetic, I ordered the roast veg salad - sublime and not boring. My husband enjoyed his chicken burger. Our second trip, we shared a baked cheesecake topped with crushed honeycomb, cream and passion fruit with coffee - creamy and delicious. Service was friendly and competent.More

Popped in for coffee and cake and luckily managed to get a table on the deck. We each got a delicious piece of cake...mine was called something like lumberjack cake, never heard of it before but I gave it a try. And it was the...best cake I'd eaten for a long time. It is a lovely place to sit and watch the waves.More

Open 10 to 5pm Excellent food: from salads, sandwiches to lamb or pork belly. Be sure to book your desert at the start as they fly off the shelves . Very good service. Superb view. Highly recommended! We came twice during our 3 days stay...and would have came more but they are closed on Mondays 🥲More

Walked along cliff path from Gansbaii. Beautiful day and by the time we reached Coffee on the Rocks we were hungry and thirst! What a beautiful spot. The view from the balcony is stunning , the food was delicious and the staff very welcoming. A...hearty lunch with the most generous portion of yummy chocolate cake. We planned to have breakfast at On the Rocks but when we got there they only open at 10am. How can they advertise breakfast and then only open at 10? Very disappointed
