We had heard much about this restaurant high up in the wilderness. The restaurant is very rustic with just a few tables in an old farmhouse. The service was very pleasant but a bit sloppy. The table was not cleaned between the meals and looked quite messy in the end. We had the lunch menue that lacked imagination, all dishes... More

Excellent food in a charming restaurant with friendly service, what's not to like? A great place to dine if you like great food, but be warned this restaurant somewhat remote.

We visit the Bistrot de la Garde once every three months when it is open. It closes early in December and reopens sometime in March, depending a little on the weather which during winter in the highest village in the Vaucluse can be very cold. We usually choose the tasting menu which we did yesterday. At a cost of 78... More

One of the great culinary gems in the Luberon. Well worth the picturesque drive to the restaurant's somewhat remote location. Creative and delicious execution of Provençal fare, thoughtful wine service, lovely FOH team and excellent value. If you live in the area, it is a restaurant you will want to visit regularly and if an out-of-towner, you will want to... More

An affordable Michelin starred restaurant in a stunning location , we found the service great and the food sublime. We did not know it had a star but were blown away by the extraordinary dishes which were beautiful, complex and tasty with many textures - très très bon. As far as the service went we were impressed as they were... More

We came here with relatives who have visited many times before and loved our meal. It was a long experience, but one I have come to learn is synonymous with fine dining. We chose the three course meal with three small appetizers, an entree of choice, and three small desserts. Each course and amuse bouche were explained and lovingly tasted,... More

We had an excellent lunch here on 13th July after having booked earlier. This is essential. There was a choice of menus with full a la carte or the fixed lunch menu, which we chose. It was excellent value and the food just kept coming. Little amuse bouche, full of flavour, starter of the best brandade of cod I have... More

After hearing many good things, we traveled up the mountain to this beautiful spot. We were greeted by our very friendly hostess and began our experience. We chose a 5 course meal and started with a glass of champagne and beautifully presented appetizers on the veranda. We moved inside for the remainder of our meal and unfortunately never made it... The day we went there was very foggy and in the clouds. We nearly missed it! That would have been a grave error. It rightly has earned a Michelin star. This isn't lunch; it's a culinary experience. They will explain to you what to do with each dish. A starter was made up of 3 different dishes each related to... More

Having had an excellent and very inexpensive lunch here earlier in the year we went back with friends on a November Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed all the little extras, the nibbles, the amuse bouches, the pre-dessert, and especially the various courses. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented and the service was excellent. Our friends... More
