The ambiance and atmosphere was of an intimate local pub, nicely decorated and open fire in the corner, and there were plenty of choices for seating on a Friday night. The seats unfortunately weren't very comfortable which let it down a bit. The menu sounded great and my partner's mixed platter was very well portioned; I ordered the T-bone steak... More

We've enjoyed Christmas Day lunch over the years at various restaurants in the Stratford area, but this had to rate as the best we've had. The ambience, lovely decorations, well-dressed tables; the staff were all very attentive and accommodating even when we went slightly off-menu. The food and how it was presented was beautiful. Hope to enjoy your hospitality again... More

Nice welcome by a smiley waiter the food was tasty and well presented the resturant was nicely decorated for Christmas and despite the fact that it was quiet busy we had a private corner for the group of 12 and never waited too long to be served ! I'll go back definitely !

Large inn with several separate seating/dining areas. Charming old-style decor, which was decorated for Christmas in a classy rather than kitcsh way. Music played softly in the background, which did not grate. We went for a meal on a Friday night and it was surprisingly quiet. Seating and tables in lots of styles and sizes, which should suit many customers... More

The restaurant has a nice and relaxed feel to it and the service was also good. The manager was very helpful as were all the staff. my T bone steak was excellent as was my chili prawn starter. However the only downside was my wife scampi was dry and overcooked. Overall we will be back.

Visited to meet with friends, unfriendly welcome by staff, ignored initially by bar staff, rudely seated in restaurant by Matre de . Drinks served in dirty glasses. Not impressed. Starters were fine however one of the main course was as tough as shoe leather after a complaint they were good enough to offer and supply a replacement. The Matre de... More

We visited on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had fortunately booked a table in advance, so the friendly staff showed us to our table promptly. The menu offered a fabulous choice of inspired dishes and everyone in our party of four was well catered for. Starters and mains arrived in good time and they were... More
