This is by far the best place to eat on the old forge snowmobile trail system. Nice and cozy with "real food" when you are tired of bar food at most everywhere else.

Good beers, great food and atmosphere. Hearty breakfast. So good even had a desert (which I don't usually do).
Been here a few times and always have a great meal. Love the tuna tartar and the salmon burger but also their daily soups. The staff were super friendly and take the time to talk with you and not "at" you. It makes you feel...More

On our most recent stay at the Big Moose Inn during the peak of the fall foliage season, my wife and I were treated like old friends in what has become our home away from home. There are so many great ways to describe the...More
Wish we could have stayed longer. An impromptu on the way through the Adirondacks. Loved this place. The natural beauty of Big Moose Lake, kayaks and canoes at your doorstep, loons on the lake. Peace and quiet. A lovely bar, a charming bartender, and delicious...More
While vacationing at our cabin on Big Moose Lake, our family joined us for yet another memorable dinner at The Big Moose Inn. Over the past fifty (plus) years, we have frequented this restaurant many times...and the current owners (Mark and Susan) continue to warmly...More
