Romantic dinner in front of the large fireplace on a cold winter night. Great dinner, service, and homemade desserts.

We stayed at the Poolville B & B over Homecoming weekend at Colgate University. With limited lodging in the area for visiting families to the college this is very convenient and a hidden gem. Roger and Charles were very welcoming. Their food offerings are farm fresh. Room was clean and spacious. We will be back soon.
Drove 50 minutes to this restaurant after hearing it was one of the best restaurants in the area and reading the outstanding trip advisor reviews. Unfortunately, was not worth the drive. Wines by the glass were varied and reasonably priced. Herbed bread had an interesting taste. First serving was cold which was okay. 2nd serving was hot but inside was... More
The wife and I went here (2nd time) for our anniversary. We weren't disappointed, with one small exception. I had crab cakes, shrimp with andouille and grits, and a mixed salad. She had a Mediterranean flatbread, swordfish and creme brulee. We shared a bottle of a very nice California fume blanc. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service quite up to... More

Had a peaceful and lovely stay at this B&B as my partner and I were visiting for a quick weekend getaway (and to make a trip to Talons nearby). We decided we needed to walk a little bit after our drive up from NYC so didn't have dinner in the restaurant, but definitely plan on doing so next time. Our... More

This restaurant is among the best fine dining restaurants in which I have frequented. There is no aspect of the meal that I would rate below 5 stars. It's off the beaten path, but only four miles from Hamilton, NY.
On our way driving to the this restaurant we enjoyed the colorful fall foliage. Such a nice place both inside & out. The service was friendly and excellent. We started with a great bottle of white wine and an appetizer that had locally grown pears. Our dinners were so good (including free range chicken) and the food is attractively displayed... More
What an amazing find in the middle of the peaceful and charm of upstate NY.. We ate dinner here 3 times and brunch twice. I was blown away, The owners are both Chefs and obviously very very good ones. Farm fresh ingredients and seafood as good as if you ate it on a dock in Maine. Wow!! Great meals in... More
Everything, and I mean everything right down to ketchup (if the dish calls for it), is made by Chef Charles and amazing breads and desserts by Chef Roger. They change the menu frequently and seasonally so everything is always at it's freshest and is never boring! Beautiful, quiet atmosphere in an old country store complete with some of the old... More
