This was our third visit to the Cottage Kitchen as we make a point of visiting if we are in the area on holday. The staff were very friendly as usual and the food very good. They even allowed us to order a pudding, even...though it was close to closing time. We will certainly be back again.More

We called in this cafe for a light meal ,on entering the woman took us to a table and asked if we would like drinks .After she told us that 5/6 of the dishes they had run out of,so we opted for a plate of...chips and a bap each this was over £10.the chips were very thick and some of them were still frozen and very dry no taste to them .when my wife paid she told the cashier of the complaints, and she just said I'll tell the kitchen and that was that ,we don't complain and would definitely never go again to expensive and terrible quality ,but the drink of tea was niceMore

We visited here for a late lunch on a bank holiday Monday. The place was really busy but we were able to grab a table outside luckily. The food was mixed - my partner had an excellent ham, egg and chips. My meal, a pulled...pork jacket potato, was ok. A little dry but a decent portion. Service was pleasant and we felt safe (covid). Would like to return :-)More

Travelled specially to have breakfast here. The positives : clean restaurant and outdoor seating area, pleasant staff and good coffees. We had a very long wait for our breakfasts, but anticipated some excellent freshly cooked food. When the meals eventually arrived they were not good....Some elements were barely warm, others were cold…nothing was hot. Sausages and bacon were undercooked and not at all hot. Beans were cold. Eggs were greasy. Plates were cold. Nobody came to ask if we were enjoying our food, but my husband did have a quiet word with a member of staff before we left. Very disappointed.More

Came here a couple of weeks ago 2x fish finger sarnies and 2 coffees £20ish Decent value if the food was in any way edible . 2 small fillets , rock hard , so hard in fact that we were laughing as my knife bent...trying to cut one . The brown bread roll was stale dry unbuttered and inedible . The person in the kitchen was clearly having a bad day or simply didn’t care . I would have been seriously very embarrassed to send out food in that state . We COMPLAINED politely but no resolution just a nod that she would mention it to the chef( and I use that term loosely ) . My sister comes here a lot . It was seriously unpalatable food with no care given at all . I would never visit again nor would I recommend anyone parting with their hard earned cash here .More

Dined at their first dining evening. What a great success. Greek themed evening with good, plentiful food and wine. Very Covid secure. Really friendly service. Looking forward to the next one!

I don't think they are dog friendly, you would need to contact them. I wouldn't recommend this place to eat.
