Set up like various rooms in a house the restaurant feels cozy and homely. You do not feel on top of other guests and waiters give you time to relax and enjoy. A good menu selection. I had grilled oysters followed by fluke with roast...More

The Bellini martini is heaven sent and if you try nothing else, don't miss the potato pancake with caviar.

The Living Room has a Swedish theme - in the charming and colorful decor and in the menu items. The food ranges from delicious Swedish meatballs to a whole spring chicken with spring vegetables. I love the staff, especially Leo and Henry. They never are...More

We had a nice meal here during restaurant week. The restaurant is part of a bed and breakfast on Main Street in East Hampton, overlooking a quaint pond complete with swans. We were given the choice of the main dining room or the cozy lounge...More

We again took advantage of 'restaurant week' in the Hamptons. We judge The Living Room and Topping Rose (both hotels, by the way) to be the best examples of fine dining in the East Hampton/Bridgehampton stretch. Having enjoyed 'Topping' two days earlier, it was time...More

I went here to celebrate a family member's birthday and my mother and I both agreed that it was one of the best meals we've ever had. It is considered fine dining so it's dressy, not sure if it's formal or not (I don't think...More

At the Living Room, we identify the freshest and most naturally produced foods, creating world-class menu selections from what can be purchased through local, organic producers. This is the slow-food philosophy at work, and we believe it makes for the best-tasting meals in the Hamptons. Our chef uses the slow-food process to "cook with the seasons", coming up with mouth-watering menus of cuisine he calls "new American with a Scandinavian twist". Signature dishes include Scandinavian classics like Toast Skagen and exquisite desserts like Spring Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp with homemade honey vanilla gelato and Catapano Goat Cheese Tarte with homemade lingonberry sorbet. To complement, you can choose from more than 200 vintages from our extensive wine cellar. From local Long Island varietals to organic Oregonian boutique blends and standards from Europe, there is a wine for every mood and food at The Living Room.
