I've eaten here several times and have never had a memorable meal. The view is nice, though. Every time I've been here it's because I've been with someone that always wanted to eat here.

Had a truly delightful dinner there, great food, excellent service, and the view was truly unique. Will be a regular visitor to this Southern Tier landmark.

My husband and I were there on a Sat night. We started with a cup of French Onion soup and also the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Both were very good. The gumbo had andouille sausage in it, so it was a little spicy if you don't like that, but it was very much similar to gumbo found in South Louisiana.... More

We were in Elmira overnight and looking for a nice place for dinner. Showed up at 5 p.m. On a Friday and had drinks at the bar with very friendly and attentive bartender, and then enjoyed a wonderful dinner and bottle of NY wine, watching the sun set over the foothills. Great location, old fashioned service and charm, and a... More

The above title says it all. Visiting the Finger Lakes region, found this restaurant on TripAdvisor, and tried it with another couple. All four of us had delicious entrees - three fish and one duck. Our server, John, was very attentive and knowledgeable - top-notch. The view of the hills and river at sunset was spectacular. The manager came by... More

We were staying in the Elmira for one night for the first time ever; it's only 2 hours from home. We wanted to find a nice place for dinner, not a chain we can hit any time. We opted for the Hill Top Inn and were able to get a Friday night reservation on Thursday. It's not hard to find... More

Beautiful night for outdoor eating . Excellent chicken, our friend had the duck which was very tasty . Prime rib done perfect, juicy and tasty. Good portions . Staff very friendly . Only suggestion would be to add some evening lighting to the deck which could be more inviting for the casual customers . Great nite . Oysters are wonderful ...

Relaxing patio dining. Enjoyed the oyster bar. You should try it if you enjoy clams, shrimp or oysters. The sea food was fresh and well iced. I had the oysters/clam plate. They were delicious. Oh, and the beer is cold, too. We were entertained by a nice couple. They sang mostly Irish tunes but did mix in a variety of... More

Visited on a Monday night. Great view. Not that crowded. Food was very good but the service was not that great. Had to ask 3 times for rolls. Nobody asked how anything was. We were served and that was it. For a more upscale restaurant I expected a little better service.

Thank you Thomas for your visit and review. We too wish your service was better. While I know the restaurant didn't look busy, it truly was our busiest Monday of the summer and I'm sure you saw that the staff was working diligently. You did share your roll experience with me when I visited your table to check on your... More

Brianne and Leslie are awesome! Very attentive. Filet Mignon and beef tenderloin tornados was delicious. Great view of sunset! Great deserts too. They had a 20 year high school reunion party going on but didn't effect service.
