I was looking forward to dining here after years of hearing good reviews. The atmosphere was pleasant with a lovely view out the back window. Our waiter was ok but seemed off his mark all night. The tables had linen cloths but had white paper on top which kept catching on my sleeve with every bite. The menu offered a... More

It was the final stop on a tour that included Storm King, where we had a nice picnic and DIA Beacon. We the drop half an hour North and arrived at this quaint former summer resort, now converted into apartments and a fabulous restaurant downstairs. We chose to sit on the porch enjoying the view of the lawn looking down... More

Where to I begin. This is our 3rd trip to this restaurant as we have visited for 3 mothers day brunchs. Up until yesterday, we were happy with our visits but yesterday, mothers Day visit was our last. The problems were just one after another. The most critical was service or should I say lack of service. The wait staff... More

Very sorry for your experience. We work very hard to make our customers feel at home. We feel very bad and we wished that you could have said something before you left so we could have done something for you instead of writing a review on social media. Sometimes as hard as we try we fail with some customers I... More

We attended a party at The Would. It was a buffet which included flank steak, a chicken dish and a pasta/broccoli dish. The food was absolutely excellent and the staff was wonderful. Drinks were kept full and dishes collected quickly. The flank steak was fabulous - tasty and juicy. The staff was very accommodating of any special requests and very... More

Too late for dinner but impressed with staff and atmosphere. Will be going back for a meal soon. Quiet and off the main road it's a gem that we may have missed if not for the hotel telling us about then

My concern with this review is go to my website www.thewould.com and see for your self the entrees do not ad up to $250 and say you ad a $15 drink which would be a pretty expensive it just doesn't ad up. I would love for you to let me know exactly when you were here so I can pull... More

I had last been to the Applewood bar and restaurant with my father many years ago. Now called The Would Restaurant I visited with my wife for a wonderful dinner for Valentines Day. The food was awesome and the service was perfect. It's a hidden secret which the Hudson Valley has. I recommend to anyone who likes American Cuisine at... More

Arrived a bit early and had drinks at the bar. Friendly crowd and staff. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and service was attentive during the whole meal. We ordered the crab cake and cream of broccoli soup for appetizers and both tasted fresh homemade and were excellent. Although at $15 the one crab cake was a bit... More

The Would is tucked away on a hillside in Highland, "off the beaten path," and we just hadn't gotten there in a year or so. We've had great meals there in the past, and last night's experience was no exception. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic: the fireplace was blazing, each table had a candle, the setting is both rustic... More
