Had breakfast, lunch and dinner here most days of our weeks stay in this lovely lodge. The whole dining experience was first class, thank you. We especially loved the fresh tuna and prawn salads - over looking the gardens, from the restaurant, out to sea. We also very much enjoyed the New Years Eve six course dinner.

Wow the restaurant has the most amazing high up sea views. I would say a fantastic romantic setting not to be missed. Must book to get a guaranteed table. I would say go at the back end of your holiday otherwise you will be hooked! As it's fine dinning prices are much more expensive and the ambience is magnificent. I... More

This was our first tome at Ngala Hotel. The restaurant - dinner, breakfast and lunch - were quite simply excellent. The dining room is beautifully situated with lovely views over the gardens and the Atlantic. The menus in the evening were interestingly designed with a good variety of options (impressive given the challenges of sourcing ingredients sometimes) and each dish... More

My husband and I ate four times at Ngala Restaurant during our week’s stay at the Lodge in November and loved every single meal! The setting on the semi-circle veranda is sublime while the gentle evening breeze is true bliss after the day’s heat. Staff could not be more welcoming – they are warm, friendly and professional without being obsequious... More

We ate lunch at the Ngala Lodge on a patio overlooking the Atlantic. The food was excellent. The best I've had in the Banjul area. I had a lamb curry which was quite flavorful with just the right degree of spicy heat. The lamb was not overcooked, which is rare for Africa. I had it with an excellent Jollof rice.... More

I have been here several times and think it is a stunning setting for a hotel/restaurant. the cocktails are fab however the food quality varied on each visit. I would feel more comfortable recommending if the food quality were consistent, I don;t mind paying more for an excellent meal! The staff are pleasant and helpful

Lovely location overlooking the ocean. Very breezy. Food was good but the service was very slow. Nice gardens.

This is over hyped , the restaurant is cramped with as many tables as possible, the food was very poor even for Gambian standards. Chips were cold , rice cold and glutenous, fish over dry . Servers frosty and curt. No apology for bringing back reheated chips after I'd finished eating reminded me of faulty towers. Overpriced and not pleasant... More

Wow, Sparkey! Sorry you had a bad experience, however I don't see why it was necessary to explode with venom on the lodge site as well considering you didn't stay with us. Had you done so you would have been able to comprehend why we have so many repeat guests due to our staff hospitality and diligence. The owner, management... More
