I've eaten at Agava quite a few times over the past couple of years and have mostly enjoyed the food--though I think it is overpriced. My mixta salad with a side of salmon was small today, the greens about the size of a side salad....More

Food was delicious, drinks were well-priced and strong (sangria!), and the service could not have been better. Wish some of the patrons would dress up a bit more as the restaurant is quite chic, but that is out of the hands of the restaurant. Also,...More

Upbeat and energetic restaurant with a good selection of local micro beers, light appetizers and tasty main dishes at reasonable prices. The lamb burger is outstanding. Wait staff is friendly and informative about local ingredients. Pizza selections are creative and tasty but the toppings on...More

Wow, this place is great! I must thank our friend for recommending this restaurant. Not knowing the restaurant scene in Ithaca, we struck gold. Super fresh food, locally sourced, what a great find. We opened the meal with their fresh, homemade salsas and chips. Salsa...More

Whether you order succulent chicken wings, heavenly soups, burgers or flat breads made in their wood stove, you will never be disappointed. Many nights there is live music although it usually doesn't begin at the time they say it will so don't rush thru dinner....More

I have eaten here several times and with the exception of one less than well-trained waiter, I have always had a very positive experience. A lot of the food is sourced locally so it is very fresh and organic. There is a gluten-free menu for...More

My golf buddies and I stop in every Monday and Wednesday night after we play and have a beer or two. Always friendly staff and a rotating tap of good beers. My wife and I have eaten there too many times to count. Great food...More

I had been wanting to go to Agava since my son started school in Ithaca. They do not take reservations for under 4 people in your party so every time we went the wait was over an hour. This time I called and asked them...More

We had dinner here on our first night of 4 in Ithaca recently. No patio seats were available, but we had a choice table near the wood-fired oven watching the chef. There were plenty of interesting drink and food options on the menu. Some standouts...More

What a great place. There is indoor and outdoor seating. If you are going to Cornell well this is the place to stop. They have flat bread, full meals, and great snacks. We will return!

Description
The AGAVA restaurant concept is rooted in local, farm-to-table cuisine, seasonal menu and a Southwest-Inspired palette. One of the central design and functional elements is a wood-fired oven with eating bar in the main dining space, serving up flatbreads and a range of other fire-roasted cuisine. Our bar is destination of its own; from the unique spirits & cocktails, to an environment and space you have to see for yourself. We feature one of the most unique interior spaces in the central NY region, drawing from both southwestern design elements like “latillas’ as well as local historical features like reclaimed barn wood. We’re based in the old East Ithaca Train Station, commissioned in 1876 by Ezra Cornell.
