The bread we had to ask for while waiting was warm and tasty. The food, however, was so-and-so, and the leftover lipstick on the glasses gross beyond words. Won't be coming back.

Definitely need to make reservations for this restaurant. Even with that, expect a bit of a wait. The food is worth it & the waitstaff is knowledgeable & friendly.

The service was very personable and professional. Pleasant and appropriate dinner music matching the old fashion décor. Very good sauces and pastas.

While in Lake George for the weekend we wanted to go to a nice Italian Restaurant for dinner and chose Mario's. The hostess ( I believe she may be the owner) wasn't the friendliest person but our waitress was very nice and gave us very good service. Of the 4 meals that we had ordered, 2 liked it alot but... We enjoy Italian food , this was near our hotel so we ate here the first night in town. The food was not good at all. I had lasagna, my husband had a special . We both had the worst marinara sauce we were ever served.

Nice looking restaurant. Asked the server if something "off the menu" could be ordered which was shrimp marinara w/penne. Since "seafood franchise" was on the menu, I didn't think that would be difficult. When the order came, the shrimp were so over cooked, I couldn't eat them. The pasta was cold. The sauce was the only good thing on the... More

Late in the season, not much was open. However, we found Mario's!!!! And was it a great find. Service was super. Food was excellent. Old school Italian, and spot on. Our table had minestrone soup (some even had seconds), the dinner salads were excellent, fresh and tasty. Veal marsala was hand cut and excellent, smaller portion but enough for a... More

A wonderful surprise to find a family owned restaurant for over 60 years that is Italian, and excellent in its cuisine, fairly priced, family oriented, nice decor, on the northern part of the main avenue of Canada Street in Lake George! And it's opened in the off season too, which is great for this lake area. A great find.

We were hungry and looks like most restaurants in Lake George had closed for the season. Mario's was a walking distance from our hotel. That is real convenient. The restaurant setting is modern and clean. Staff is friendly. Seafood Fra Diavolo was good. Don't ask for the hot spiciest flavor. They just sprinkled red pepper flakes on top. You can... More
