As a cheese newbie, the woman at the Village Cheese Shop was extremely helpful in helping us find the perfect cheese to match out preferences. She helped us pack the perfect picnic!

Stopped in mid week-tried a few samples, bought a local hard cheese for about 20/lb. The prices looked reasonable until I noticed everything priced by the half a pound-I have never been in a cheese shop in the US where cheeses are priced that way. My local Wegmans sells mountain Gorgonzola for 5 dollars less a pound.

Really great place to get cheese, pate and other things. Well worth taking some time to ask questions and get some variety. Great and knowledgable staff.

The Italian cheese Fondue came with Bread and Apple slices, we also had some dried sausage and two glasses of French wine. Everything was very good but expensive.Their selection of cheese is quite extensive.

My son and I went here to try a very sharp cheddar. It didn't disappoint. You can eat here and have lunch, but we were just sampling a cheese. Wow!!! I bought some bread to try it with, which was annoying, but they don't give any out. The cheese was pricey because they only sell you a certain amount, but... More

The best place outside Manhattan for $25 per pound cheeses. A wide assortment, most of which are a bit obscure, and all in perfect eating shape. Knowledgeable staff will guide you with tastes to your perfect cheese board.

Went with 2 goals in mind: late Sunday breakfast and a look for a new cheese; both wishes were granted. We ordered a goat cheese platter and a smoked salmon tartine. Too bad it was so early as a glass of wine would have been a perfect accompaniment. And we discovered a new goat cheese called Mountain Moon, made in... More

They offer a very nice selection of cheeses and items to accompany. They young woman behind the counter was very friendly and knowledgable. We picked up two cheese that we tasted before purchasing...so delicious and she helped us choose them. Also got some bread to take home. All in all a lovely spot to visit. Will stop in for sure... The selection of cheeses is great and the service is pleasant and the staff knows their cheeses. The shop has only a few tables, but they are in a nice glassed in area. We like to come here for the fondue and sausage platters. They have an interesting variety of very good fondues.
