My husband actually picked this place, based on Trip Advisor review s of restaurants that were open on a Sunday night in the offseason in Montauk. He definitely made a good decision. He has the local fish of the day, which was fluke. His only complaint is that there wasn't enough of it. I had homemade cavatelli with whipped ricotta,... More

South Edison is one of my staples when I go to Montauk. And now they are open all year long!! So happy! Last week when we were there my husband ordered a new item. The Pork chop Parmesan was out of this world. I had the delicious tile fish. And the sides were just as good. We had the corn... More

My sister in law and I grabbed a girls dinner here while in Montauk for a few days. Service is great - very attentive, informed and polite. Decor is cool and coastal themed. Immaculately clean. Lovely ambiance. Relaxed yet refined. The food was delicious and unique. Lovely unusual menu. I ordered the chicken and my sister in law ordered the... More

This place was wonderful. The decor is cute and beachy. Get a gin and tonic - their pairings are awesome. They have a rotating list of fresh oysters shucked in front of you. We ended up skipping dessert in favor of more oysters. Our entrees were great.

My wife and I had dinner here recently. The service is among best in Montauk. Menu has traditional favorites (swordfish, lobster) with interesting twists. Not just fish/meat on plate. Great location.

We've been to this restaurant a few times over the years. Our most recent visit was a mixed bag, with the good edging out the bad. The good: Atmosphere (decor, lighting, music, really everything); oysters from the raw bar; cooking and quality of the fish and meat itself; thoughtful wine by the glass selection with light whites that pair nicely... The little neck clams were fresh and were excellent. The Kusshi oysters had a great taste put were quite smaller than what I am used to. The House Made Stracciatella Cheese was unsatisfying. Could not detect the pork vinaigrette. Local Fluke a La Plancha was bland. The Seared Yellowfin Tuna was very good but missing the olives and cilantro. Very... More

My wife booked this dinner and I did not have any clue about it coming in. After entering a beautifully, fitting dining room, we started with cocktails. The drink menu was varied without being obnoxious. I liked the Gin Tonic selections, I have not seen restaurant/bars embrace this Spanish style. Both drinks were delicious and creative. We settled on Scallop... More

I am surprised that this restaurant doesn't have a higher rating on Trip Advisor. I have been here a few times over the years. It isn't cheap, but not super expensive compared to many places in the atmosphere. It has a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere similar to many restaurants in NYC. It's good for a romantic dinner or also dinner... More

OPEN MAY 5 - OCTOBER 10 for the 2016 SEASON Join us at South Edison and enjoy a menu packed with local seafood and produce. Chef/Partner Todd Mitgang, who developed our original creative menu, and Executive Chef Frank Fuschetto continue to craft new dishes to complement our customers' favorites. Frank has performed as pastry chef at South Edison and our sister restaurant, Bo's Kitchen & Bar Room in NYC, to rave reviews. This summer he proves he's a hit with savories as well as sweets. Walk right off the beach to try our extensive raw bar, a wide selection of wines and beers, and our signature Pickle Martinis garnished with house-made local veggie pickles. Our original cocktails also bring a refreshing start to a summer evening. After dinner, don't miss the extraordinary desserts. Just one block south of town, South Edison reflects Montauk's fun and casual atmosphere. Stop in, kick back, and enjoy!
