We visited the Tavern at the Beckmann because we were looking for an authentic New England menu in a surrounding once visited by George Washington. We were here 5 years ago and hesitated to visit again thinking it may not live up to our memories but now the bar is set higher. We loved the butternut squash soup, pot pie... More

We visited the Tavern at the Beekman Arms right after Christmas when the Inn was still decorated beautifully. We choose to dine in the Garden Room instead of the Tavern as it is a glass enclosed extension of the tavern which overlooks Rhinebeck village. It was bright, beautiful and cozy. The food was good. I had the crab stuffed shrimp... More

We spent an evening in Rhinebeck and had dinner at the Tavern at Beekman Arms on our vacation to NYC. It's an adorable little town! The staff was very friendly and managed to seat us in the taproom as we had requested even though we did't have a reservation. The taproom is the original inn and it's so warm and... More

Had a party of 6 for Christmas Brunch. We all felt it was "just OK", and were in the Christmas. We arrived at noon, table was ready but the room had no atmosphere and was very dated. They had a number of options including 2 carving stations (Beef & Turkey). both luke warm, the rolls were stale. What they had... More

My husband and I ate in the tavern which is located in the basement. Low ceilings, wooden beams and low lighting adds to the atmosphere of the pub. Food was wonderful. Our waiter was courteous but unfortunately we had an issue with him towards the end of our meal which put a little bit of a sour note on our... More

A testament as to how good this restaurant is--we experienced and observed a subpar performance from the kitchen during our most recent visit--and still can rate it a 4 overall. My companion chose their turkey and cheese panini, specifying no red onions. Our server noted that on the ticket, yet when the sandwich arrived, the onions were included. My companion... More

Dining at the Beekman Arms has always been a very special time for my family. Last time we were there we ate in the tavern area. The atmosphere is beautiful. I love historic places. The food was great and the service very good.

Our family has been driving up to Rhinebeck (from Westchester County) about 1 - 2x a year for many, many years. We typically take a ride up in the fall and spend the day in and around town, go to one of the apple orchards in the area to pick apples right off the trees. Our visit to Rhinebeck always... More

The big one is the regular stuff for us on our travels. The tavern is a great restaurant. The menu changes seasonally and there are also specials. I had boneless grilled chicken delicious. My wife had the short ribs with the same evaluation. We both ate too much. For some reason we were wise enough not to get the soup... More

Our second time visiting the Beekman. Love the warmth of the tavern. Dark, rustic and this time of year decorated so lovely. We had dinner in the greenhouse which was a first for us. Service was great, food good and dinner was very relaxing. We were not at all rushed even when we were the last to be sitting. Great... More
