This place has the best wings I have ever had!!! These are definitely a must try!!!! You will not be disappointed! The owner is friendly as well as his staff. The only downfall is there isn't air conditioning in the summer which makes it hard to sit inside and it is usually packed so get there early for outside seating!

we have been toying with going here for a long time, but the stars aligned last thursday :) we ordered both the harbor burger and 20 wings (garlic pepper and harbor dry rub) because we knew the reputation and wanted to share. I know I have never seen such a giant burger, and it was delicious! Even a half of... More

Parking is street side or lot across the street, located at the end of Lake Ave where it meets the merging of Lake Ontario and the Genesee River. Weather depending, a walk on the pier and Boardwalk is a nice way to work off lunch/dinner! We arrived around 2-3 in the afternoon. Walking into Windjammer's, we noticed only a couple... More

We stopped in for a quick bite before the dinner rush started. Ended up there with a bad service and staff that looked very disjointed. Food was very dead when it got to use. No attention paid to us throughout the whole service. Could see the attitudes between employees towards each other. Waitress did not know flavors on menu nor... More

About 10 days ago, we were in the mood for some good ol' bar food so we walked to Windjammers. If I ever want a hamburger or wings again, I will go nowhere else in all of Rochester. First, you have the option of paying less if you just want a hamburger without a side. Secondly, there are no hamburgers... More

OK...so this place will never win an award for cleanliness (cobwebs & dust everywhere, especially in the ceiling area & on speakers) but DAMN..the wings were awesome! Try the cinnamon chipotle & sweet canadian..delish! Will def. do a take out order soon!

Visiting Rochester from California and was planning on driving to Buffalo for some wings (Duffs). Someone suggested trying Windjammers. Nice variety of different sauces and rubs. Did try the hot buffalo, not traditional but less of different spices. Just a heads up, their hot varieties are not very hot at all - maybe a medium. Will go again next time... More

Went to Windjammers for my first time for a birthday party. I had heard they had great wings so I was eager to see for myself. They had an assortment of appetizers at the party. I was not disappointed! The food was great! Can't wait to go back again.

Windjammers is located on Lake Avenue next door to Mr, Dominic's Italian Restaurant in Charlotte. Whereas Mr. D's has the air of a somewhat upscale Italian dining establishment, Windjammers is the epitome of local pub, having a fairly large bar and an ample selection of cold beer ( bottles only, no drafts)...and a modest 7 seating locations (3 booths, 2... Nice bar, nice atmosphere. To small a kitchen to support the menu. Less is more! Stick to the wings and burgers, you do a good job on the taters too! Soup is good too! Definitely need a front end host.
