Delicious bistro food, somewhat slow service. I shared the cheeseboard and bread, with two other people, plus enjoyed a crock of French onion soup which was outstanding. And then some smoked salmon was shared as well. Somewhat chilly in the restaurant that day as the front door handle was being replaced.

We had soup and wine-very nice atmosphere. Soup and wine were excellent. Limited menu but very good.

Do not miss a trip to the cafe. A stylish and welcoming venue, with terrific service, we had a delightful lunch. The trout salad was lovely, as were the tomato soup and the open-faced sandwiches. We'll definitely be back.

This was not our first visit to the Left Bank Cafe where we have sampled breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The ambience imitates elements I have seen in various cafes and bistros in France where I lived and worked for about a year spread over several years. Anne, the manager, spent a few years studying her craft in France and has... More

Was doing window shopping on a Saturday in December in Saranac lake and came across this cafe. I did some TA research to read about the top rated restaurants in SL and this was on the list. We strolled down the Main Street and stopped at interesting shops and just happened to pass LBC and remembered the reviews. It was... More

Quaint little spot on the river...Quiet for NY Eve lunch. Great food and service! The La Fin Due Monde was excellent!

My wife and I just visited the LBC. The service was excellent: courteous and prompt, not overly friendly, just like we appreciate it. We ordered the baguette and olive oil. The oil and balsamic reduction were truly excellent. My wife had the salmon, which was tasty and perfectly cooked. I had the chicken, which was excellent: it came with two... More

This French-American Restaurant is awesome! We had a wonderful dining experience complete with solid recommendations from Anne, the server. The food was varied and very good, the atmosphere was quiet and conversation with your tablemate is easy. If we had stayed in the area another night we may have been back for a repeat!

We went to the Left Bank Cafe with a group of about 15 and it was wonderful. It is rustic, but warm and inviting. The service was great and the food was out of this world! The munchies at the bar were awesome and so were the desserts. This is wonderful place for all including families.

Four of us had breakfast and dinner here. Very quaint interior with of course, French accent and great French food. The breakfast crepes were fantastic. Porch overlooks Saranac River.
