The food was delicious and the service was great. I didn't have room for dessert, but I bet it's great, too.

My wife and I lived in Schenectady from 1988 - 1992 and ate some of the best Italian food anywhere during that time. We were back for a night in October and returned to one of our favorites, The Appian Way with friends. I'm glad we did. Our meal was a 2.5 - 3 hour affair with conversation, good wine... More

Outstanding Italian food. It is a family favorite. Great for a special Occasion or a special dinner out. Homemade linguini, bread, marinara and gelato. Every dish is made to order so be patient; it is well worth the wait. The seafood, veal, and braciole are excellent dishes. The homemade gelato in incredible; share the pistachio, stracciatelli, and amaretto on recent... More

Recommended by friends who attended dinner with us. Parking is tricky. The food was very good, we had a variety of dishes which everyone liked. The salad and bread were very good (bread made on premises). House wine very good. Our server was very nice and spent some time chatting with us. I felt some of the dishes were pricy... More

Homemade Italian food, made by "Nonna." Two sisters from Italy own the restaurant and make everything from scratch. Pasta, bread, and olive oil (really, look it up) are all homemade. This is home cooked, garden to table, whatever you want to call it without -- the real deal. On to the food: extensive menu of the traditional Italian dishes, everything... More

The menu is extensive, many choices available. Prices shown online are not correct some items are double the price when in the place. Food is good not the best Italian I've ever had.

The best Italian restaurant in the capital region. Do not expect a quick meal, all meals and ingredients are home made, the time it takes for the preparation is well worth the wait. Enjoy the laid back relaxing atmosphere and don't be in a hurry.

Talk about stepping back to a time when everything was fresh & pasta was still homemade. We were there Christmas eve & the stuffed Calamari was superb. Couldn't finish it all so what was left became the next days lunch. They don't skimp on portions or quality. Others had everything from veal to a mountain of mixed seafood over pasta.... More

Appian Way is and always has been the best. The pasta is homemade and the sauces are right on for taste. Salad is just the right size, and the dressing is their own. Restaurant is comfortable and atmosphere relaxed. We have been patrons for years. Wonderful to have a neighborhood restaurant such as this.
