The bread! OMG the bread! Great service, great food. Outside of the building is not impressive but everything else is fantastic! Did I mention the bread? Can't wait to go back!

Made reservations well in advance, was called by the owner the day of reservations and advised, in a rude manner, that if we were late for our reservation we would not be served. Reservation cancelled due to this unacceptable and very inapropriate harassing phone call.
My husband and I took our two college aged grandchildren there for dinner. The salads are huge. Two of us shared the Caesar salad, but 4 could have easily been served. Pasta portions are huge, pizza was delicious, and they made a dish to order to accommodate my granddaughter. Portions so big, there was NO ROOM for dessert.
You need to make a reservation for this restaurant. Stop everything and do it now. We couldn't get in until 8:15pm, which is a bit late for me, but it was worth it! I had veal piccata with gluten free pasta and could not stop eating it, even when I was full. I was traveling so couldn't take leftovers with... More
Truly authentic Italian food, with expansive wine list (try Zin or Chardonnay). Very flexible with allergies and gluten free diners (my wife enjoyed the GF penne), and the staff were extremely attentive (and I mean top class service awareness all around). Just a quiet Tuesday evening and a nice outing at Rosalie's. They were busy and perhaps understaffed which may have contributed to the long wait for food, over an hour after cocktails. The seating is very close and on a Friday evening we were crammed in to a very loud and busy dining room. There were a lot of very young children, a couple broken plates and one shattered glass... Rosalie's is regarded as an institution in Skaneateles, and it's easy to see why—attentive, friendly service, some terrific Italian dishes, huge portions and a casual, relaxed atmosphere. It is on the upper end of "moderate" in terms of price: appetizers run from $7.50 - $15, with mains from $20 - $45, with most in the mid-$30 range. After seeing the... More
