This sushi restaurant is consistently terrific. It is very small and hidden in a strip shopping center. It can get very crowded so make a reservation. I personally love their kale roll and my husband loves the spicy tuna roll. We are big sushi fans so we frequent this place often. Go enjoy the good service and quality food. Their... More

Restaurant is small, but we had a reservation and iur table was ready when we got there. All dishes from appetizers to entrees were tasty and different from other Japanese Restaurants. We ordered the 10 piece Chefs special and we got interesting rolls. The restaurant is noisy and crowded but the food is worth it.

Arata is a little Japanese restaurant located in the strip of Syosset stores. It has a cozy and warm feeling. The food is delicious. They have some very creative rolls that you can't get anywhere else. Worth a trip.

I'm not a sushi expert but I like the service and takeout. They have a great lunch special as well. Plenty of parking in back, small place not a lot of tables.

I am not a huge sushi fan, but the sushi and other dishes I have had here are first rate. The seafood soup is delicious, and there are so many great appetizer choices. The restaurant is fairly small but very popular, so try to avoid peak weekend times. Prices are very fair for the quality and freshness of the food.

Consistently find Arata to be the best sushi around. The 5 or 10 piece tasting is awesome and always fresh...Rolls are consistently good, and the special Kale roll is top notch. Would highly recommend to all sushi lovers in the area.

I found Arata Sushi on Trip Advisor while visiting family. The reviews compelled me to give it a try and I was very impressed. My Son and I enjoy the cuisine very much and have tried many places on Long Island and this one has a fantastic combination of great food, atmosphere and courteous service. Great Sushi, but you should go there to try something different. Ask the server to suggest some of the Chef specialties. Takes you out of your comfort zone and usually awesome.

The freshness of this sushi place is unbelievable. My husband has stopped eating sushi because he felt there are no good places out here for it. Always the same old same old. I pushed him to try Arata based on reviews from a Facebook page. I am so glad we did. My husband loved it as did I. Our waiter... More
