My wife loves this place. It's okay for me. Good menu choices. Nothing has ever made me say I can't wait to go back.

Looks like a dive, but great food. Best friend haddock and awesome new england clam chowder. Good burgers, salads and pasta dishes. Warm bread and garlic butter. Great service, quick. Friendly staff. Lots of choices and generous portions.

Although the last time I ate at The Clam Bar was years ago, this was a recent visit. The place has been a fixture in the area for a long time. I went in around 3pm on a Friday afternoon. The place was busy, including a bar that was almost packed. I was quickly seated at a table and I... More

To start with the actual restaurant menu and their online menus don't match, less options there. Then there's the seating, four of us were seated at a table that would barley service two people. It was their standard table. I must also caution if you're physically disabled don't go here as there certainly isn't room for a walker or wheelchair... More

First time we have ever been here,. We both had clams and a clams casino. Very good. This is a small dinner type restaurant with about 12 bar stools. Everyone was very friendly and prices were good.

I had heard a lot of great thing about the Clam Bar but my experience was bland at best. There was a long wait in a crowded bar area for a table, the service wasn't outstanding, the place was cramped and the food was ok. Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe it was an off night, maybe I was... More

I stop into this place often for a quick dinner when I'm in Syracuse on business. The food is good, and the small touches are there...like the garlic-infused butter for spreading on the bread. I had the broiled scallops, which I have often here. They were as good as usual, and my waitress gave me a hard time (in good... More

Found this place because we were hungry for seafood and wanted something close to our hotel. It was amazing. We sat at the bar, service was great and everything was delicious. We had steamed clams and the fried seafood platter. All was terrific, but scallops and fried clams strips were unforgettable. Can't wait to get back and share it with... More
