A visit to Columbus Bakery is either my first or last stop when visiting Syracuse. It has changed hands over the years but still makes the best Italian bread in town! Each visit is a blast from the past. The loaves I buy never make it home! You can't drive far with the smell of fresh backed bread surrounding you.

Hot flat loaves make the BEST sandwiches, but buy extra one for the car ride back. I have been going to Columbus bakery since I was a kid, still the same all natural bread!

After hearing a coworker rave about the Columbus bakery meatball sandwich, i decided to try one. not knowing the size i ordered one knowing it would be made on their delicious bread. When it came i thought it was a joke because of the size. Somewhat later i wondered why common sense hadn't kicked in and why i didn't stop... More

A fresh loaf is irresistible- you must put in the back seat out of reach if it is going to make it home for dinner!

They have the best fresh dough to make bread or pizza. They also sell fresh homemade bread. It is by far the best in Syracuse

This out of the way old bakery has the best Italian bread in the area. Crunchy crust and soft inside, we often buy 2 loaves - one to eat in the car going home and one for dinner. A treat to get then right out of the oven. Also has a deli next door with the most amazing meatball subs.

When people in Syracuse want one of a kind Italian bread, Columbus Bakery is the ONLY place to go. The loaves are freshly baked on a daily basis and they even sell bags of pizza dough to take home. If you like your italian bread crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, Columbus it is!

Yummy bread for decades! It hasn't changed and that's a good thing. Stopped in and bought one flat bread and one regular Italian bread. Outstanding and still warm. No preservatives either!

I was on the way home to the north country and stumbled upon this bakery. Nothing like I am used to seeing back home. However, their Italian bread is wonderful. I bought two loafs. My kids are both in two days only because I would not let them on the same day. A must see for the visitor to Syracuse.
