First, I would like to preface this review with a disclaimer. My wife and I have dined here before and have thoroughly enjoyed our experience. But, as it has happened so many times before, chefs and their restaurants get either stupid or complacent on Valentine's Day. They abbreviate the menu and subsequently shortchange the experience. Dinner started well enough. Although... More

So we arrived at about 8:10 am just after the restaurant opened for breakfast. Julie, the hostess, seated us at a beautifully set table in a windowed corner. Beautiful china, crystal, silver and linen...everything first rate. We were looking out over the property and at the beautiful countryside beyond. We started with their great coffee and then selected breakfast from... More

The restaurant is located in a castle like buildind and the interior is warm colored and cosy. We went for the valentine menu: The amuse bouche is a homard bisque served in an espresso cup. The trxture is perfect with a few pieces of lobster and a deep harmonious flavor. Tuna tartare: served in a dashi broth on a bed... More

Perfect place for a romantic dinner or our with friends! The welcome is warm gracious & inviting:-)! Visited here another couple! We were all impressed with the experience! The window list is diverse. The Apps were tasty and the dinner was really delicious and creatively prepared. The Bronzino is a great choice! I typically only eat half my meal and... More

We went on a very snowy evening and were welcomed by the parking valet. Our table was immediately available and the service and attention was perfect caring but not hovering. We went for ala carte menu over the pride fixe. Smoked salmon canapé was delicious. I had the truffle risotto with Parmesan which was outstanding as were the appetizers that... More

My husband, mom and I had afternoon Christmas dinner here. Gorgeous place, beautifully decorated for holiday and an army of the nicest, most efficient and professional staff we've had the pleasure to be attended by. And the food....simply amazing. Butternut squash soup heavenly. Delicious rich risotto. Roast beef could be cut with just a fork and short ribs best we... More

We’re told that Manhattanites tend to forget, discount, disregard, that much worthwhile does exist as well outside the big apple. Indeed, having visited 4 times since 2005, 12/18/2016 was no exception. Champagne Brunch at Equus is as good as ever and reasonably priced at $48++ pp considering the quality & the service; not to forget, discount, or disregard the setting... More

My wife suggested EQUUS for a celebratory birthday dinner. We had been there many times and WAS our favorite Westchester restaurant. Was very excited. Upon sitting down and receiving the menu our collective hearts sank to the floor. Why oh why did it change to a steakhouse? How prosaic, pedestrian, does Westchester, the world for that matter need another steakhouse?... More

We went to this historic restaurant for a Sunday family brunch. We had the usual fare offered - champagne, fruits, salad for starters, pancakes, steak and eggs and coffee. The Castle Cake (Maple Caramel Mousse, Fuilletine Crunch, Banana Brule, Vanilla Ice-cream) was delicious dessert. The food, service and the view was good. A prior reservation and a request for a...
