This is the second poor review I have left. After leaving it more than 4 years to come back I was hoping I would be writing a better review. Unfortunately not!! The food itself is nice and prices are good. As for the service and staff, it's horrific! There is nothing worse than eating in cafe where the staff are... More

We enjoyed the sandwiches and soup, not to mention the excellent choice of cakes, milkshakes, ice cream etc. Food was very well presented and delicious. However, the service was not good at all. Staff were verging on rude, did not make us feel welcome on arrival or at any point during our meal and made us feel rushed, even though... More

I called in today and ordered a chocolate cheesecake, I asked for some ice cream and selected a speciality ice cream. When I went to pay the bill I was surprised at the total, I then found out that they charged me £2.50 for one scoop of ice cream. I would've been happy to spend £1.00, this made my cheesecake... Four of us visited on Saturday afternoon, all tables were taken, we were asked to leave our telephone number with the waitress, who called 20mins later when a table became available, We took the opportunity to wonder into the local shops. It's quite small, do book in advance to save waiting, has a great atmosphere. Jeanette came to say hi... More

My wife and I visited Jeanette's Cakery today. It was very busy when we arrived, but the staff were able to seat us immediately. The menu is quite limited but there is a wide variety of sandwiches. There is an option to have a cup of soup with our choice of sandwiches. This we did and this was beautiful. We... More

Went here for afternoon tea, everything was freshly baked the scones were excellent, friendly staff and very helpful. The children's afternoon tea went down very well too, we bought extra cake to take home it was so good.

I have been meaning to write this for a while now. Great staff, happy and helpful everything that you need. The cakes are always to die for and lots of choice. My favourite part is getting a cake to go. Never been disappointed!
