After reading several reviews we decided to try this hotel restaurant for our first lunch in Stone Town. We tried the coconut crab soup that they are known for. Presentation in a coconut was very nice, and the soup had a decent taste but fell short of making an good impression. There were minuscule threads of crab in the soup,... More

Don't miss this little, cosy restaurant. Crab n coconut soup is a must, the pastas are cooked "al dente" and all portions are great value for money. We visited other, higher-ranked establishments by TripAdvisor reviewers and we concluded this was our favorite restaurant. Rose offers a great customer service.

Excellent spot with delicious food. The coconut crab soup was amazing, as were the lobster tagliatelle and the Swahili fish curry. The dining area is very pretty, and the service was fantastic. Our server, Rose, made the meal even better. I definitely recommend.

We stayed at the hotel and arrived late in the evening so we didn't feel like going out to eat and decided to try the hotel's restaurant. We had a delicious seafood salad and fish dish. The servings were generous and tasty. We washed them down with local beers (Safari and Kilimanjaro). The breakfast buffet had a good selection and... More

My husband and I had dinner here once. We were excited to try the coconut crab soup, but we were not happy about it. The soup was good, but not exemption all and honestly we had better. My husband main dish was a fish dish. He had one bite and had to send it back to the kitchen because the... More

I really enjoyed this little restaurant. We ended up going mostly because we were in the area, but I thought it was a great find. The atmosphere is very relaxed and homey, service was warm and attentive, and everything we ate was delicious. The coconut crab soup was worth the visit alone - utterly delicious, and served in a coconut... More

Some colleagues invited me to join them at this delightful restaurant where I enjoyed a very tasty mutton curry, served in style and washed down with a Kilimanjaro beer. An assortment of bread and snacks was served too, so as usual I didn't have room for dessert. I'd return anytime for another tasty curry, although I guess it won't be... More

It has been 2 years since my last visit, but I was happy to find that the food is as delicious as ever, the staff friendly, the atmosphere perfect for a date or even for a solo traveler. With only ten tables and located in the most famous Kelele Square, this place is not to miss! The Swahili flavors and... More
