I stayed in Zanzibar for 4 days with my partner and went to Lukmaan's for dinner twice in that time. The tasty food offerings change daily and very, very affordable. Good choices for vegetarians and vegans too. Would go back for sure

We were recommended this place separately by two Tanzanians, and we were not disappointed! Plenty of food for two people for about 11TEZ. If you are curious about local cuisine, that's your place to be. Try the tamarind drink. Lessons from the place: everything made with coconut is 150% better. True fact. Oh also, there is seating outside upstairs, so... More

We've eaten at Lukmaan's almost every evening during our stay in Stone Town. One must love this place - it's a little bit chaotic, noisy restaurant with tasty food for very affordable price. Their smoothies are fantastic - try mango with passion or fresh lime, our kids' choice.

The setup seems a little awkward and intimidating... just walk up and either order from the menu or point and ask what things are. They'll give you either a regular portion or a large portion. Don't forget about the BBQ and naans and samosas. Juices are yummy and fresh. Prices are reasonable. For two including a large water and fresh... More

My favourite fast food place for a quick lunch in Stone Town. Very reasonably priced. Food is not exquisite, but tasty and varied. Many vegetarian options.

We were taken here as part of our tour of the town. A good variety of food buffet style with fantastic freshly made smoothies. Popular with locals and tourists.

I made couple visits to Lukmaan. The service is not fast in terms of preparing the juices and they might easily forget. Local food is served, it is not delicious)(It is fine), however it is frequently visited by locals and tourists so there is a traffic and food is fresher than other restaurants. (Buffet style). Price range is good, (Not... More

Ended up at Lukmaan for a late lunch after getting lost a few times around Stone Town. It was just about 2pm and the place was packed with locals and tourists. I have a feeling that unlike most places in town that target specifically the tourists, at Lukmzan they couldn't care less about us (tourists) as far as I could... More
