Lovely meal on the roof top. The breeze was much appreciated on a steamy night. Food was very tasty with ok portion sizes. Service was excellent.

A place which worth to visit. Decoration at each floor realised with nice furniture and excellent photos. The restaurant on the roof terrace has a marvellous view. The service was very quick, but this is because we have explicitly requested it (otherwise, missing the flight).

Wife and I Had coconut beef curry and chicken curry with pilau rice which felt really authentic. Rooftop views were incredible and with a nice breeze to escape the heat. Service was nice and food came out quick by Zanzibar standards. Highly recommend.

This is definitely one of the better r saturants in Stone Town. The food was very fine but the prices were not excessive. As most places in Zanzibar, service was excellent and very friendly.

We ate here on our last night with four adults and two children. The food was mostly local, but superb. The view is breath taking, and worth the climb up all the stairs.

This restaurant is less popular than other rooftops in Stone Town but we had a delicious dinner there. Local food with a very nice view to the sea and the fort which is very close to us. We had the prawns and it was really delicious. I recommend it with fresh juice. Prices were good. Good surprise. Je recommande vivement... More

I spent quite a lot of time in Zanzibar/stone town area and when I had to go to a place where I could just be alone to get some work done I always headed toward Mistress of Spices. The wifi was good as well as the service. They have a reasonably priced menu - quality is for sure a priority... More

We had a light lunch here, samosa, calamari, chillie & lime salad, most delicious. The lime & mint juice very refreshing, & finished with a tangy mango & lime curd tart. The vanilla expresso as good as in Italy.

Beautiful! This lodge and restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is very authentic Zanzibar. The bread was so good! The food was good, but the fresh made juice was the real winner!

Lunch on their marvelous terrace. Nobody there except us for most of the time. Service flawless. Food very good. Views nice (just above the old fort). Good cake for money.
