Waiting for a scheduled Chateaux visit with the Toursit office, we grab a quick espresso here at the bar. It's excellent and cost is €3/ea. Service is prompt and friendly **

We went here for lunch on the off chance. We had the 3 course meal. I am a borderline diabetic and asked if I could have a little cheese instead of the dessert, but was told 'no'. There is not usually a problem with this in other restaurants. The quality of the food is poor for the price charged. Lamb... More

This is a very touristic place. Most of the tables are outside and it is always hectic. The service is good, average time to serve and the food is good. There can be a band playing nearby, so it could be loud. It is hot in the summer.

Not a place we would revisit. Off hand service, unappetising food and prices reflecting the fact that the clientele are probably only going to be there once.

I wanted to order a pizza, but had the feeling I was buying an illegal substance and the police could bust us any minute. From the moment you walk in, it's as if they want to sell you something as quickly as possible. Mind you: the place was about a third full. It's al about quick sales and table conversion.... More

Quite possibly the worst coffee I have ever been served. When challenged the first point was that we're going to have to pay for it anyway. Meanwhile the other attendant was singing in the background, presumably happy at the thought of making €5 per coffee - laughing all the way to the bank! Avoid this place!

We just wanted a salad not a set menu, just a salad and a snack. And we decided on this bistro! Yes this is a tourist place, what do you expect it is in the centre of town.I had the salad of the house and my wife had the croque Madame, with a couple of glasses of wine all very... More

Our first family trip to St-Emilion was totally spoilt by the appalling rudeness of the barman/owner? I assume he was the owner because an employee would have been sacked for the way I was accused of swindling him out of a third of a glass of lemonade because I politely asked him to top up my panache, which I found...
