Amazing place to eat on St Martins Island. Best place to eat by far and MUCH better than the completely tasteless and very expensive meal that we had at nearby Karma St Martins for our anniversary meal. We ate here on 3 nights of our 4-night stay and all meals were delicious. The beers were great – we particularly enjoyed the Proper Job ale, which is an authentic IPA brewed with Cornish spring water and malt made from a blend of malts including Cornish grown Maris Otter barley. The staff were all excellent and very helpful. We first met Hayley, and were also served very efficiently over the 3 nights by Charlotte, Woody, Guy, Jody, Jack and Emilie.
We are usually vegan, but the sea food platter looked so excellent that we had that and really enjoyed it. Hayley recommended that 2 was probably too much for 2 people and we should share one platter with ships. So, we did that and the chips were amazing- the best I have ever had. The seafood platter contained carb meat, smoked mussels, smoked salmon, roll mops and prawns and we had 2 dips with the fish too. Bread and butter came with it and that was amazing bread- we make our own and this was excellent bread and we are fussy! for dessert we had the vegan chocolate sweet caramel “cheese cake” with a berry medley – delicious strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants etc.
One night we met the owner Dom and congratulated him on his pub and staff. I can’t recommend the view enough either. In fact, this is our favourite restaurant of all time as all so good. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

The pub is very pleasant and both inside and outside.
The menu is not extravagant but the service was excellent and the bench style tables outside are practical and inviting, especially if you go for lunch and then choose to stay for a while into the afternoon.
Very friendly bar staff who are clearly working relentlessly but with a smile, serving from the hatch in the afternoon when the inside of the pub is closed.
Great for families, solo’s dogs and children. There is enough space so that everyone can enjoy themselves! Of course with long views across the sea.
Thank you.

Staying nearby and found this delightful pub with a great chef and a brilliant waitress (Hayley). So pleased we booked a table for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings- the crab salad is fantastic but sells very quickly. There is some walk- in tables available but if you want to eat lunch or evening then I recommend you book a table 🤗

The setting is beautiful with a fantastic view and nice outdoor area. However, we were disappointed with the bored and unenthusiastic attitude of our waiter and the lack of choice on the menu. There are no substantial meals- it's either wraps/sandwiches with a handful of crisps, salads, or sharing platters. The only hot food on the lunch menu is soup. It's more suited as the menu of a cafe rather than the only pub on a lovely island. Scilly is expensive and we are used to that, but £12 for a wrap and a few crisps really is pushing it.

Another Isles of Scilly pub emerging from lockdown at top speed.
The pub has changed little over the years but outside things are changing for the better. Whilst this happens the traditional seating is unhindered.
Attentive staff who will do their best to get you seated fed and watered as best as possible.
Tribute beer possibly the best I have tasted and a good price £4.00 if I remember correctly. Crab salad just right for lunch £14. Crab chilli and lime sandwich £12, coronation chicken £8. All top quality and so fresh, amazing considering the recent lockdown/ supply chain issues.
One of my favourite pubs anywhere and great to see it doing so well.
Not sure if they take bookings but I am sure you will be looked after.
Thanks to the staff, so patient.

I felt ripped off, I paid £19 for the half lobster with salad. There was the equivalent of 4 king prawns on the lobster meat and it wasn’t tender. I was left hungry and ended up buying a sandwich on St Mary’s

Been going to the Isles of Scilly for many years. Stopped at the Seven Stones Inn on St Martins last week for a coffee...great view of the sea and a building site, including a rusting and decaying JCB in the lower field.
Coffee was cold and served by staff who were totally disinterested. Not impressed especially as we have been there in years past when it had a good reputation.

The staff member who greeted us was really welcoming and really lovely.
We ordered 'local' fish which was Pollack. The dishes came out really fast but the whole plate was swimming in liquid which was probably from the cabbage and peas. It was really poor. I tried to mop up this liquid as it soaked into the potatoes. The bacon with the cabbage was not crispy.
This had all the makings of a great local dish but it was worse than school dinners.
It was a pity as we were looking forward to our night out. In the end we had to leave. As the staff were so lovely and because of the issues pubs have had with Covid I didnt want to make a comment as most of the other food looked good!

This is the only pub on St Martins and thankfully it is exceptionally good. Everyone that worked there was super friendly, the food was fantastic, so much so that we went back several times so we could try other stuff on the menu. The ribs were exceptional. Just to top it off a great selection of well kept beers. Can't wait to go back.

Th Seven stones is always a good place to stop for refreshments after a long walk.
I haven’t been over to St Martins for a few years and was pleased to find the pub was even better than my last trip.
There is plenty of choice for lunch, the sandwiches come in lovely fresh ciabatta bread and the salad has a lovely dressing. We saw people with the sharing seafood platters, looked amazing.
On top of the great food the service was excellent and the view is out of this world, particularly yesterday when we have 62 degrees in October.

If you are visiting St Martins in the Scilly Isles, you simply have to pop in here for a bite to eat or a delicious cool drink with views out over the sea.
The food is delicious, a family run pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Prompt service and it doesn't matter if its raining or sunshine, you can sit inside or out.
It is very popular with locals and visitors so do book if you want to be inside.

St Martins is a very special place as is the Seven Stones Inn. We ate there several times and all meals were super. I think those who make any criticisms have very little understanding of life on an ‘off Island’ on the Isles of Scilly. Location is stunning and it is lovely to see the progress Dom is making with the grounds - it’s a long project! We sat out and in. Meals included burger, crab salad, ribs, macaroni cheese, Thai fish cakes ... plenty of choice even in these difficult times. Well done, Seven Stones Inn. We’ll be back next year without fail.

First visit to St Martins and we made a beeline for here.
First off, this is a lovely spot. There is a great view out over the bay and most of those famous seven stones!
There is plenty of outside seating space with rustic reclaimed wood tables. We sat out enjoyed a beautifully kept pint of Doom Bar until a shower made us decamp inside.
The inside is a wonder. It’s a treasure trove of reclaimed timber furnitures and items from wreaks. A real eclectic feeling.
We ordered a lunch of lobster rolls and chips which was fresh and fabulous and I heartily recommend.
From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive and the place had a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere.
I only wish we could have stayed for dinner.

I dropped in after a long stroll along the beach a low tide and was given a really friendly welcome. I was recommended the Shellfish Linguine which featured mussels and langostines in a sauce of basil, coriander, garlic and lemon. This was a completely delightful treat accompanied by some sweet dark bread, which I happily shared with some friendly little sparrows and a blackbird, who provided entertainment at the table. It’s warm and sunny today and I have a beautiful view across the water to St Mary’s. It’s absolutely idyllic. Thanks to Alice and Nick. My lunch today was outstanding! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A week sea kayaking round the Isles of Scilly had us based in the excellent campsite on St Martin which was matched by the staff, service and food/drink in the Seven Stones Inn. The best view of the IOS was enjoyed through a Solar Haze and we were sustained by the superb pies and ribs. Both Sophies, Dylan, Chess and Emily have the best "office" and their playlist was the icing on a very tasty cake. Wholly recommended.
