Our family visited the New Inn last week for lunch and were treated to excellent food and atmosphere! The Lobster Sub is just beyond words and the rate at which my Wife and the kids were happily tearing through the Crab, that was good too!...More

A very convenient and pleasant place for a cup of tea and an ice cream while waiting to take the ferry back to St Mary's. A nice, sheltered garden.

Had a good pint in a pleasant beer garden, though this is a fairly ordinary pub in essence and does not really have a particularly Cornish or Scillonian feel.

Description
The New Inn is Tresco's friendly local pub that offers award winning food and beverages. Filled with guests and locals all year round, it is very much the heart of the island community. In addition to regular live music, it also hosts the island's beer and cider festivals. The New Inn also offers bed and breakfast accommodation. So, how best to describe the New Inn menu? Basically, it's the best of both land and sea. Quite literally in the case of the Tresco Surf & Turf, which first appeared on the menu to much acclaim in 2013. Well, let's face it, who wouldn't be seduced by the magical combination of succulent Bryher lobster and juicy chargrilled Tresco beefsteak? Other recent introductions to the menu include crab claws, potted shrimps and fish stew as well as other local delicacies such as the Cornish pork and Tresco partridge sausage roll. Along with cracking new dishes, there are still the old favourites such as beer-battered fish and chips, Cumberland sausage and mash, and the New Inn burger, produced from our own grass-fed beef herd. The New Inn has been awarded four yellow stars and a Gold Star Award from the AA for quality and service and an AA rosette for food excellence. It is one of only 12 Cornish pubs to be listed in the Michelin 'Eating Out in Pubs Guide'. In November 2013, it won Bronze in the 'Pub of The Year' category at the South West Tourism Awards.
