Visited as a family of 4 for the steak and prosecco night. We were all very impressed with the quality of food, excellently cooked steaks, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the pub has a lovely traditional atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

Still a great place to go for a meal, although in the last 3 years we have been going there the general overall appearance has wilted a little and it could do with redecorating and generally tidying up. The other thing that hasn't changed is...More

Enjoyed the local brew, we ate on a Tuesday night, the food was good, service relaxed & a great atmosphere. I was surprised at how few people were camping as this would be ideal in August. I would recommend the casual & laid back approach...More

For a restaurant with over 4 out of 5 I would have thought a Sunday roast wouldn't be difficult to get right. Unfortunately the beef was totally overdone, reminded me of school dinner meat. Dry and just kind of bland. No attempt to make the...More

Good quality food at good prices, nice selection on the menu. The menu is not enormous so that normally means most of the food is cooked fresh. There were 4 of us and we all had different- one of the party is gluten free which...More

Went here after reading reviews and listening to work colleagues say how good it was. Ummmm maybe they were having an off night but what we got was definitely not good. Gammon was more like a bacon steak, steak in the pie was gristle and...More
