The Trailhead is a MUST stop! Great atmosphere and excellent food and service! Highly recommend the Trailblazer Burger (get the local beef, totally worth the few extra $$), the mussels and the shrimp and corn chowder were amazing!

Not fancy, but DELICIOUS!! The beer selection and food do NOT disappoint. Was the topic of discussion at breakfast at our inn and recommended by everyone. Will go back again and again.

spouse and I had lunch there one day, good friendly staff, good food, and outdoor or inside sunny window seating. I had the fish tacos and my spouse had the jambalaya special, both very good. Also liked the local hard cider that was on tap.

Good food, good service, Generally all around good. The atmosphere was nothing special but that didn't matter.

We had to wait a bit to be seated as it is popular, but worth the wait. They have an interesting menu and were very willing to mix and math ingredients for our vegan needs.

The cocoa-encrusted Ahi Tuna is amazing. Make sure, if you order a burger, you get the local beef. It's worth the extra $$.

My husband and I live less than a mile from The Trailhead. We love the food and atmosphere. The State Street Chicken is the best. Also- their fries are amazing! They have options you don't really see often in restaurants like this, like corn pudding and asparagus. Try it out!!!

The atmosphere is definitely nothing to write home about. The food was good but nothing special. Service was good but not great. You can start to see that there's a pattern here. There are definitely better food options in Black Mountain.

This bar/grill got recommended to our group as a good place to watch the Thursday Night NFL game. But they didn't have the channel or big TVs but it didn't matter because they had great food and live music. The wings and onion rings are a great choice for an appetizer. BLT sandwich was very tasty as well. Very good... More

When we went in, it seemed to be only a beer joint. But after looking at the menu, it was more fine dining cuisine. The plate of onions rings were exceptional. My marinated pork tenderloin was tender and very tasty. Our waiter PJ was helpful and on the ball with service. It was overall a great night out.
