Food was great, sausage was fantastic and so was the potato salad. Great European flavor but a bit pricey.

The atmosphere was very close to a German restaurant. The interior was pleasant, the service good, and it is nice to have options to by German sausages and other food items. The food was good. I was not too impressed with the Condon Bleu my daughter had was not even close to the original recipe. The cucumber salad met the... More

The food is good German food, the beer is always good, the staff always friendly. The prices are a bit high for the portions served.

I love this place - it's been a while since I went there but I'll be eating there this week when I go to Asheville. For me it's a must-stop - love the sausages and sauerkraut, good beer and fun atmosphere. Plus I try to pick up some European candy from the front room on the way out! It's hard... More

My friends and I stopped in for beer and appetizer in the middle of the afternoon. Great selection of beers, nice bar and they had live music. The waitstaff were very knowledgeable about their food and drinks. Looking forward to enjoying one of the German meals we saw on other tables. Everyone was having a good time with their friends... I first visited Berliner Kindl a year ago, and when I found out we were visiting Black Mountain again, this was on the top of our "must do" list. I was just as pleased with our visit this year. The food is excellent - very tasty, well-cooked and great portions. The beer selection is great and the desserts are amazing... More

We went there following the recommendation of the town’s visitor center guy, which he mentioned the restaurant to serve an authentic German food, well considering the location of this restaurant on the map of United States, I guess it is as authentic as it gets. I have been in Germany and I ate in real Bavarian restaurants in metropolitan cities... More

This is my favorite German restaurant in the States. I love the schnitzel here. It's not just breading and the cabbage is good. My hubby always gets the wursts and is not disappointed. I love taking things home that are difficult to find elsewhere - yummy baked goods, good bread. Whenever we are in town, this is the restaurant I... More
