Our neighbors introduced us to this French bistro after raving about it. We visited this restaurant for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved the tasty salads (roasted beets and arugula) followed by the moules provencal and hanger steak and frites with the ricotta cheesecake for the final course. The cortina of house wines were a nice compliment... More

Kitchen is self-billed as a French bistro and measures up to the pleasure I expect of a one, yet it is unquestionably American with enjoyable French inflections. I had the cream of mushroom soup (minced mushrooms, not puréed) and the evening's special sliced duck breast with roasted Brussels sprouts, all very good. My wife had the Roasted Beets and Arugula... It was our first visit to this restaurant and I can see that we will make this place a "regular" on our return visits to Chapel Hill. We were warmly greeted by Sue at arrival. Both servers were professional and friendly. We started with the escargots and moved on to mussels/fries with a side order of Brussel sprouts. Portions were... More

Second time here. Love this place. Great food and service. Braised short ribs and grilled brussel sprouts were excellent. Definitely recommend!!

Kitchen is a tiny restaurant that offers both the highest-class dining experience with a casual atmosphere. Okay, I guess it's business casual, but whatever you call it, it's comfortable! Their moule frites, their mains, desserts, how do you begin? My wife and I have been going here for over 5 years, and each and every time it's been one of... More

This is a tiny restaurant that feels like someone's hosted a big dinner party. The servers are very sophisticated with describing the food and spirits. The providential French food is delightful. We've been several times and just love the food and atmosphere.

Kitchen is a small unpretentious Chapel Hll restaurant in a strip shopping center a bit away from the campus and main business district of Franklin Street. They only take reservations for 6 or more and while they advise you on better times to arrive we found that their prediction was not accurate the Saturday night we arrived so we had... More

We ate pâté, vichyssoise, saffron shrimp artichokes risotto, clams with vegetable sauce. All were delicious! Small and very unassuming place. What s pleasant surprise.

This small intimate French-style restaurant is inconspicuously tucked away in the corner of a small shopping center, but boasts a consistently excellent menu, an eclectic wine list, and a loyal clientele. House specialties include mussels and duck confit. A perfect venue for couples and small groups.

We have been here several times on date nights and with the family. The space is small and often packed. Last night, I ordered the Basque mussels and a glass of Muscadet wine. The mussels were fresh and delicious (cooked just right), and I used the bread to dip into the sauce. YUM. I've had ALL varieties of their mussels... More
