Had the lamb shish-kebob. The lamb was excellent (which is unusual in my experience). The service was not the best, but go for the food.

Talullas is an attractive restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. The decor puts you immediately in the mood for Turkish food. We enjoyed their salads, and Adana Kebabi and Yogurt Kebab. If you can't find street parking there's a park and pay lot right...More

Fantastic selection of wonderful fresh food. Starters were really good - began with fresh bread and a spicy red pepper dipping sauce, smoked eggplant with tahini and sliced veggies were very good. Branzino grilled with olive oil and lemon was perfect - so fresh and...More

We were in Chapel Hill for UNC graduation and discovered that the restaurant only had a fixed price menu that weekend, at $45 per person. I ordered shanks which turned out to be meager in size and average in taste. None of the other 3...More

Food was very good, everyone enjoyed their meal. Noteworthy because we were not particularly hungry, and spots in places like this (touristy, heavy traffic) do not hold up well as they usually sacrifice food for location. So... food was good, not life changing, but good....What...More

Talullas is an opportunity to sample a little-known Mediterranean cuisine in Chapel Hill. We recommend the vegetarian Mezze platter, the Sebzeli Musakka, and especially our favorite, the Guvec. They also feature several good Turkish red wines, and some interesting cocktails.

We've been to Talullas several times over the last few years, and the food has always been both authentic and delicious. Smooth and friendly service as well. My wife is of middle eastern descent, and we love middle eastern food when we can find it...More

shortly after we sat down, a lovely basket of warm bread was placed on the table & a couple specials were introduced. We couldn't help to pick sea bass, fresh & flew in from Mediterranean area, & lamb shank. Both were exquisitely prepared. We end...More

they have valets there but if you drive down Franklin (away from Tallulah's) and turn right at the first (or second, I can't remember clearly) crossing there is a public parking space

Graduation is a special situation and the advice of others is very valid. My visits have been in the summer and it was immediate seating when we wandered in.

Description
When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.
