Group of 22. Our table had 12 people. Five orders sent back as they were cold. The manager argued that the plates were hot (putting cold food on a hot plate equals cold food). One order was late and the wrong dish. I ordered a lobster and grouper plate. The grouper was excellent. The lobster tail was too salty to... More

Toscana is nicely appointed and on previous visits the attentive service and good food made me feel like I was in Italy. Tonight might be the last time we dine at Toscana. The service was lackluster and at times it seemed the waiter was doing us a favor by showing up at our table. The portions are small and the... More

Recently entertained a customer and peers here for lunch. It was a nice, quiet place. Its great to be able to enjoy a meal, and actually hear yourself think - and others speak! The food was good, the servings portioned just right, and the service was very attentive.

Tucked in the back of the shopping area. Hard to find. Service is better than the food. Check the menu before out go and pay attention

We've been in Toscana with friends and we couldn't arrive early - arrived 8.30pm to make things worse! My husband ordered a Branzino ($36.00) that was just acceptable - no taste! I ordered a pasta al mare gluten free ( mentioned twice that had to be gluten free) but arrived a wheat pasta that returned to the kitchen. I don't... More

This is the closest to authentic high-end Italian cuisine you'll get outside of Italy, New York, or Chicago. Birthday dinner with wife. Ryan the perfect server. Over a dozen local couples and regulars, other couples, families with children, and singles. House-made bread served with white beans (red peppers in oil) started. Great cocktails. Recommend the limoncello martini or Cosmo. I... More

Sat outside on a lovely fall evening. The service was attentive and prompt. The wine list was small but adequate. The bread was good and fresh. The cheese plate was limited and unimaginative. The Caesar salad was small but fresh and crisp. The Pasta and sauces were fresh and flavorful. The veal was outstanding. The best I've had in the... More

We dined with another couple on a Saturday night at 6:30 and found the crowded dining area to be so noisy that hearing the person across the table was difficult. We had to talk loudly throughout the meal. The food ranged from excellent (soup) to acceptable (delicious shrimp and flavorless risotto) to poor (veal that was tough and tasteless). Homemade... My husband and I were passing through Charlotte and wanted a nice Italian lunch. After reading way too many reviews and getting overloaded, we decided that we would try Toscana. We didn't want to deal with downtown Charlotte either and this worked out fine. The greeting was warm and inviting. Bread and beans were brought to the table which was... More

This is a smallish place tucked away inside the Speciality Shoppes on the Park (across from SouthPark). I think I remember going to this restaurant (or one in the same place about 25-years ago). Decided to give it a try with friends during Restaurant Week. Our food was "very good-- not out of the ballpark-- but it was solid and... More
