We were looking for a quick bite before the baseball game and stumbled upon Tobacco Road. We were expecting typical "Bar Food" and were pleasantly surprised by the 100% homemade pledge of this restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious and reasonably priced. The buns for the burgers and Carolina BBQ sandwiches were fresh and we also had salads, guacamole and... More

If you are going to a Bulls game or to the Performing Arts Center in downtown Durham, this is a great dining option! They offer a varied menu...anything from "sports bar food" to healthier options and delicious entrees. We have been to this location numerous times with family & we have never been disappointed! They offer great food at reasonable... More

I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here in April. The food and drinks were great. The room was perfect size for the amount of guests we had which was around 60 people. The room had a couple of TVs, which was great since March Madness was on. The servers could have been a little more attentive to us though. We... More

The Bulls weren't in town when we were visiting, but we wanted to see the field anyways and found the sports bar with outdoor seating overlooking the field. We ordered a couple burgers and sweet tea. The food was good, but the view of the field is great.

We ate here on a very busy evening...lots of basketball to watch! We arrived around 5:30 and found that only parties of 4 or more were being seated at the tables. We were told we could sit at the regular bar...or at the bar facing the large wall full of TVs...or in one of the recliners directly below the large... More

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. The fries were a bit cold but everything else was fresh and not your standard sports bar fare. The turkey ciabatta sandwich wth sundried tomato pesto and whipped goat cheese is a definite winner. Staff was friendly and responsive.

No reservations accepted, may call ahead to help with seating on busy nights. Food is usually very good and if planning to go to a 7:30 show in the area and arrive by 5:45 you can dine and go. They try hard to meet your time line. Bar is always busy,

I have eaten here twice before going to a show. The food is fair. Stick with the burgers and salads because the seafood is not very good :/ Service is SLOW. Make sure you allow at least an hour+ if you're going to DPAC.

This place is tops!! Great atmosphere and plenty of TV to watch the game. The wings were good. (Ask for the hottest they have) The nachos were a little less tasty than other places but overall ok.

Tobacco Road is not a sports bar. Brothers Brian, Alex and Rommie Amra share a passion for both sports and good food. Unfortunately, they found that their favorite places to watch the game were never the same as their favorite places to eat, and decided to remedy this for the people of the Triangle.

As a result, the Amras are unwavering in their insistence that as much emphasis be placed on the menu as what’s on the 40+ HDTVs that surround guests in the Tobacco Road bar. For a quieter and more formal dining experience, guests can enjoy their meal in the main dining room or reserve Tobacco Road's private dining room for special events.

Tobacco Road strives to provide its guests with:
1. Fresh, delicious food.
2. Exceptional service.
3. All that the sports fan could ask for.
